Shortly afterMicrosoft’s monumental acquisition of Activision-Blizzardwas finalized for almost $69 billion, fans quickly began to question how long it would take for some of the studio’s most iconic titles to make their way to the service. With almost two years now passed since the acquisition, various Activision games such asDiablo 4,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3(2023),Overwatch 2, and as of today,Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, have made their way to the service.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6even became the first entry in the series to launch day one on Xbox Game Pass, but it looks like the studio is continuing to bring olderCall of Dutytitles to the service, as an iconic entry in the franchise will be joining Game Pass later this month.
While Xbox had already confirmed thatGame Pass would be adding titles such asFBC: FirebreakandCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timethis month, even more titles have just been announced, including 2017’sCall of Duty: WW2, which will be joining the service on June 30. But before fans return to the iconic shooter from Sledgehammer Games, June 18 will see the addition ofStar TruckerandWildfrost, followed by the highly anticipatedRematchon June 19. If that wasn’t enough,Volcano Princessjoins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on June 24, withAgainst the Stormthen hitting Game Pass Ultimate shortly after, on June 26. New Xbox Game Pass Games Coming Soon
Call of Duty: WW2’s Xbox Game Pass debut marks the fourth game in the series to join the service. WhileBlack Ops 6remains the onlyCall of Dutygame to join Game Pass at launch, 2022’sModern Warfare 2and 2023’sModern Warfare 3have also been added to the service. The addition ofWW2shows Activision and Microsoft will likely continue adding olderCall of Dutytitles to Game Pass, but many fans are still waiting for some of the series' more iconic titles, such as the originalModern Warfaretrilogy,World at War,Black Ops, and more, to be made available. There have been plenty of rumors suggestingolderCall of Dutygames will be coming to Xbox Game Passin the future, but they have yet to be added.
