Developed by Xaloc Studios and Casual Brothers,Barbie Project Friendshipis an adventure game taking place in Mattel’s iconic rendition of Malibu, which players are free to explore. It includes a variety of mini-games and activities, as well as an optionalcouch co-op mode. Released for PC and consoles in late October 2024, the game didn’t attract much attention from critics at launch. In terms of player impressions,Barbie Project Friendshippresently holds “Mostly Positive” reviews on Steam and a 3.6-star user rating on the Xbox Store.
Seven and a half months following its original debut,Barbie Project Friendshipmade its way to Xbox Game Pass on June 11. Its arrival on Microsoft’s subscription service coincides with the addition ofKingdom Two Crownsto the PC Game Pass catalog. The 2018 kingdom-building strategy game has already been available to console users since February 2025,when it was first added to Xbox Game Pass. Much likeBarbie Project Friendship,Kingdom Two Crownsoffers optional local multiplayer, though it also supports online co-op in addition to its split-screen counterpart. The strategy game has “Very Positive” Steam reviews and a 78 average rating on OpenCritic.

Since neither of them are day-one releases,Kingdom Two CrownsandBarbie Project Friendshipare now available across all the non-Core tiers of Microsoft’s subscription service. They mark the middle point of theXbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for June 2025, which includes five other titles that are yet to be made available. The first of those isEA Sports FC 25, which is coming to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tomorrow, June 12.The Altersis then scheduled to arrive a day later, followed by a trio of releases on June 17:Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time,Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, andFBC: Firebreak.
This month’s Wave 2 lineup is expected to be officially announced on or around June 17. It’s already known to include the console version of dark fantasy city builderAgainst the StormandRematch, a multiplayer soccer game fromSifudeveloper Sloclap. The ongoing Xbox Game Pass hot streak is then set to continue in July with at least three day-one releases:Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4,Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, andthe recently announcedGrounded 2.
In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass will lose seven titles on June 15. These includeDordogne,My Time at Sandrock, andRolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends.
