However, one of Legacy of Arathor’s most exciting segments comes in the form of a new story chapter. Titled Rise of the Red Dawn, this questline will take fans to the Arathi Highlands alongside Faerin Lothar of Hallowfall, Danath Trollbane of Stromgarde, and Geya’rah of Hammerfall as they uncover a conspiracy torestart the faction war between the Alliance and Horde inWorld of Warcraft. The storyline will be available to both Alliance and Horde characters from Faerin outside Stonelight Rest in Dornogal, with each pathway offering unique perspectives and quest content.

Fans will also earn some fantastic rewards for completing the Rise of the Red Dawn storyline. Alliance characters earn a high-resolution Stromgarde Tabard and title, while Horde characters get Hammerfall equivalents. Both pathways also reward the Rise of the Red Dawn achievement and the Lamplighter’s Pauldrons, inspired by Faerin’s own armor.

Before starting this questline, players may want to read “Heartlands,” a five-part novella written by Adam Christopher, which details Jaina and Thrall’s journey to the Arathi Highlands duringThe War Within’s campaign, and introduces Marran Trollbane, Danath’s niece who appears in the new storyline. Additionally, fans can check out “Faith & Flame,” a new short story about Faerin written by L. L. McKinney and set to appear inWorld of Warcraft’s upcoming short story anthology,Crossroads. Players can also enjoy both stories in audio format, narrated byWarcraftexecutive creative director and Thrall voice actor Chris Metzen and Faerin voice actor Paris Blu respectively.
