The following contains spoilers for World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.
Manaforge Omega, the raid fromWorld of WarcraftPatch 11.2, culminates in a final battle against Dimensius, the All-Devouring – and surprisingly, players team up with Xal’atath to defeat him. Though the Harbinger of the Void has been a major antagonist duringThe War Within, fans may find themselves fighting on the same side in the nextWorld of Warcraftupdate.
World of Warcraftrecently revealed Patch 11.2, Ghosts of K’aresh. The final major update forThe War Withintakes players to the shattered homeworld of the Ethereals and Brokers as they seek to prevent the resurrection of Dimensius, the All-Devouring, the Void Lord responsible for destroying K’aresh.
This showdown takes place within Manaforge Omega, the update’s new raid. Described as the largestboss inWorld of Warcrafthistory, Dimensius will be a clash of cosmic proportions that requires fans to fight against gravity and gamma rays, contend with rival Void Lords he consumed in the past, and even dodge fragments of worlds devoured by the All-Devouring. However, according to the encounter write-up in the Adventure Guide on the Public Test Realm, Xal’atath will play an integral role in beating him, empowering players to temporarily fly during his intermission phase and even creating an opening with a devastating counterattack near the end of the fight.
Xal’atath Helps Fight Dimensius in WoW Patch 11.2
Xal’atath aiding the heroes comes as a surprise, as she has been a major adversary since her appearance inThe War Within. However, the ShadowguardEthereals who stole the Dark Heart from her inWoWPatch 11.1are the ones responsible for reviving Dimensius, not her. Likewise, Xal’atath is no friend of the Old Gods, as her new Lorewalking story reiterates. Her exact reasoning for wanting the Void Lord dead is unclear, but it is obvious she really does not want him to come back if she is willing to help the champions who have disrupted several of her schemes in order to stop him once and for all – though it remains to be seen how long this unlikely alliance will survive.
Manaforge Omega Raid Boss List
Though perhaps not as large, the other encounters in Manaforge Omega look quite exciting as well. Fans will face Shadowguard constructs, servants of Dimensius, a moth-like creature that provides the silk for Ethereal bandages, an animated chunk of K’aresh, and a council of Demon Hunters who could be teasing anew specialization for theWorld of Warcraftclass. The penultimate fight even brings back Nexus-King Salhadaar, the ruler of the Ethereals fromThe Burning Crusadewho became a servant of Dimensius.
Patch 11.2 doesn’t have a release date yet, but players can likely expect it to arrive sometime in August. Until then, the update is already on the PTR, so interested fans can start learning more about the events leading up to the battle between Dimensius and Xal’atath right now.
