The story ofWorld of Warcraftpicked up a few years after the events ofWarcraft 3, and its expansion,The Frozen Throne. Since then, there has been many years worth of story content added to the game. With that much content, it can be difficult for players to remember everything that has happened. This is especially the case for newer players who haven’t been around as long. If you just started a few weeks ago, you may not be familiar with who Xal’atath is or know anything about the Ethereals that showed up at the end ofthe Undermine campaign.

To better give players a context for the current story, Blizzard has created a series of quests called Lorewalking, where they get to learn more about the forces that will ultimately bring about the events ofWorld of Warcraft: Midnight. Not only that, but there are some unique rewards that make these quests worth doing, even for players who know the lore ofWorld of Warcraft like the back of their own hand.
