Recently,World of WarcraftrevealedBattle for AzerothTimewalking was finally arriving in Patch 11.1.7, Legacy of Arathor. Though Blizzard hasn’t shared the full list of rewards coming to the event’s vendor,World of Warcraftfans have discovered several of them on the Public Test Realm, including the Moonlit Nightsaber and Ivory Savagemane mounts.
However, these mounts have some special features that aren’t immediately evident.WoWplayer and content creator MrGM recently discovered that both of theseWorld of Warcraftmountshave unique summoning animations, which he then shared on Twitter. The Moonlit Nightsaber appears after the character kneels and is basked in a pillar of moonlight, while the Ivory Savagemane arrives when the rider makes an offering to the spirit of Gonk, the raptor Loa of the Hunt. These mounts can be used by both Alliance and Horde toons, and can be purchased for 5,000 Timewarped Badges each.
WoW: Battle for Azeroth Timewalking Toys and Mounts
These mounts aren’t the only special rewards coming withBattle for AzerothTimewalking. There are two toys coming to these vendors as well: the Sea-Blessed Shrine and the Lightning-Blessed Spire. Both toys summon a small shrine that can be interacted with to perform a cosmetic ritual of water and lightning respectively. However,as discovered by Wowhead, if fans use the /peer command on the Sea-Blessed Shrine, they will be transformed into one of five K’thir for 10 minutes. LIkewise, using /pray on the Lightning-Blessed Spire turns them into one of six Sethrak models. The toys cost 1,000 Timewarped Badges each, and have a five-minute cooldown, meaning players can easily stay in these forms indefinitely through repeated use.
The community is elated to see these new rewards. Night Elf and Troll fans are eager to get these stunning mounts, and would love to see similar animations added to others in the future. Likewise, fans of the Mind Flayer-like K’thir and the serpentineSethrak ofWorld of Warcraftare rejoicing at the fact that they can use these toys to essentially play these NPC races, opening up abundant roleplaying possibilities in the process.
World of WarcraftPatch 11.1.7 doesn’t have an official launch date yet, but the PTR calendar lists June 17 as the start date for Turbulent Timeways, which will be the debut ofBattle for AzerothTimewalking. Players can expect to hear an official announcement of the release date within the next few weeks.
