Geoff Keighley’sSummer Game Festis nearly upon us and will offer up a whole host of major announcements from the biggest developers and publishers around the world. Set to take place onJune 6, 2025, at 5:00p ET and 2:00p PT, the show will give fans a look at what they can expect to be playing in the next 12 months and beyond. The show has largely taken the place of the E3 showcases of the past, where major publishers would hold their own press conferences. While some still do, the Summer Game Fest often focuses on world premieres, major AAA reveals, and hotly anticipated sequels.

Summer Game Fest 2025 Start Time
As mentioned in the intro, theSummer Game Fest 2025 livestreamwill start at 5:00p ET and 2:00p PT on July 09, 2025,and is expected to run for two hours. In 2023, the livestream lasted just under two hours, and in 2024, it lasted a little over two hours.
Both of these were followed by the Day of the Devs livestreams, where fans can hear from the creators of upcoming indie games and get a closer look at what to expect. Including the Day of the Devs livestream, previous years have ran for about four hours total.

How to Watch Summer Game Fest 2025
Summer Game Fest2025 will be streaming on bothYouTubeandTwitchon June 6. It may also be available to stream on both Instagram and TikTok, as Keighley’s other show, The Game Awards, was streamed on these platforms last year. However, at the time of writing, this hasn’t been confirmed. We’ve embedded the YouTube and Twitch livestreams below.
What Announcements to Expect at Summer Game Fest 2025
Currently, onlyWuchang: Fallen Feathersand the open-world MMORPGChrono Odysseyhave been confirmed to be showing up at Summer Game Fest 2025. However, as is typically the case with these showcases, fans can expect plenty of major announcements and a few surprise reveals.
There have been rumors that aGhost Recongame could also show up atSummer Game Festif Ubisoft decides not to host its own showcase in June, as an industry insider suggests that the game is very far along in development.
Other Showcases in Summer Games 2025
Alongside the main Summer Games Fest 2025 showcase, there are other showcases that have been confirmed. In addition to Day of the Devs, which streams directly after the Summer Games Fest showcase and focuses on upcoming indie titles, eight other events have been confirmed for the following days.
Wholesome Direct
As the name suggests, this event focuses on games that emphasize artistic prowess, an uplifting message, or an emotional theme. It includes games from development teams of varying sizes. In the past, games such asCaravan SandWitchmade an appearance. Fans will be able to watch it live on June 7 at 9:00 AM PT/ 12:00 PM ET.
Women-Led Games
Women-Led Games focuses on upcoming, innovative titles from women-led or majority-women development studios. It will stream on June 7 at 10:00 AM PT/ 1:00 PM ET.
Latin American Games Showcase
This livestream will give a first look at more than 50 indie games from developers in the Latin American region. It will stream on June 7 at 11:00 AM PT/ 2:00 PM ET.
Southeast Asian Games Showcase
Fans can expect exclusive announcements and updates from Southeast Asian developers on upcoming titles. The livestream is set to take place on June 7 at 12:00 PM PT/ 3:00 PM ET.
Green Games Showcase
Non-profit group PlanetPlay will introduce its Green Games Showcasefor the first time this year. Fans can expect to get a look at games with environmental or sustainability themes. It will follow immediately after the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, streaming on June 7 at 1:00 PM PT/ 4:00 PM ET.
Frosty Games Fest
Another debut livestream for 2025, but this one is focused on the upcoming games from developers in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It will stream on June 7 at 4:00 PM PT/ 7:00 PM ET.
Xbox Games Showcase
One of the biggest showcases of the year. Xbox Game Studios and its third-party partners will share what’s coming to the Xbox ecosystem in the near future. It will also immediately be followed byThe Outer Worlds 2Direct, where fans can get a look at how Obsidian’s next spacefaring RPG is shaping up. The Xbox Games Showcase will start on June 8 at 10:00 AM PT/ 1:00 PM ET.
Summer Game Fest
Summer Game Fest is an annual video game event hosted by Geoff Keighley that showcases upcoming video game releases from the AAA and Indie spaces.
