Getting and using sorceries is tied to staffs, so as long as you find and equip a staff, you’ll be able to use sorceries. The sorceries you have access to arelimited to two for every staff you equip, as each one has set spells. Any character can equip and use a staff, with the overall damage for the spell being determined by the Sorcery Scaling and that character’s overall intelligence stat.
Sorcery Scaling is multiplied by your intelligence to determine your overall damage output with sorceries.

Where To Find Staffs In Elden Ring Nightreign
Like a lot of things inNightreign, staffs have a chance of dropping from bosses whenever you beat them and loot the cache. Depending on the class you’re playing as, thechances of a staff dropping will increase or decrease, with the classes listed above having a higher drop rate for staffs. They also have a chance of dropping in chests, with iron chests having chance of dropping higher-level staffs.
Even if you haven’t mastered the rarity of a staff, you can still cast weakened versions of the spells.
Staffs can be reliably found in staff holders, which give the prompt, “Take Staff” when you approach them to interact with them. Staff holders can almost always be found in theSorcerer’s Rise towerthat appears on the map, you’ll just need to be able to get in. Staff holders will also randomly appear in multiple locations throughout the world of Limveld. You can track which location has a staff holder by changing the map with the,“Switch Pin” option to look for the staff icon over a specific location. Without using the icons, staff holders will always be found in locations that have magician enemies within.
