The story ofAtomfallcontinues in the post-apocalyptic, action-survival game’sWicked Isle DLC, which takes you to the atmospheric and creepy landscape of Midsummer Isle. After reaching there by boat with the help of the local boatsman, Bill Anderson, your quest takes you deep across the Wicked Isle and into a strange Brewery, where you must find the Brewery Cellar Key to progress. Bill tells you he needs your help to find something there after you meet up with him at his cellar hideout in the DLC’s first trackable lead, aptly named ‘Bill Anderson.’
However, knowing where to find the Brewery Cellar Key inAtomfall’s Wicked Isle DLC can be tricky, especially with the presence of some deadly enemies protecting the area. Like other keys hidden throughout the game, it appears the Brewery Cellar Key is nowhere in sight, so you’ll need to do a bit of digging - literally - to get it. This guide details everything you need to know to find the elusive key, plus how to get past the bees to reach the Brewery Cellar.
Brewery Cellar Location in Atomfall Wicked Isle DLC
After speaking with Bill in his Cellar Hideout, which you’re able to find at points 36E, 97.9N on the Midsummer Isle map, you’ll need to trek east until you reach theBrewery Orchard(located atpoints 35.9E, 99.5N). However, before setting off, it’s best to verify you’ve got aMetal Detectorin your inventory. If you don’t have one already, you can find a Metal Detector at Midsummer Isle’sAbandoned Villageinside one of the ruined buildings, close to where you started on the island at points 31.6E, 96.3N, as pictured below:
Once you reach the Brewery Orchard, although you could charge through the front gate, it’s best to head for theside entranceatpoints 35.2E, 99.7Non the map. This way, you can sneak in and avoid the swarm of bees near the main gate and save a potential fight with the Beekeeper till later. Starting at the side entrance, you can find theBrewery Cellardown the steps inside thefirst building on the left.
After taking out the two druids andlooting any weaponsor other items they are carrying,squeeze through the gap in the wallto find thelocked Brewery Cellar door, which you need to unlock using theBrewery Cellar Keyto continue the objective.
Although the game says you can fight theswarm of beesby kicking them while looking at the ground to stomp ground-based swarms, they can quickly bite chunks from your health, and will pursue you. Therefore, it’s best to avoid them or run far from their territory to a different area.
Where To Find the Brewery Cellar Key in Atomfall Wicked Isle

While you won’t find the key in the Brewery itself or by looting any corpses, fortunately, aclue on the sign on the wallnext to the Brewery Cellar door hints you can locate the Brewery Cellar Keyinside the Brewery Orchard, where the clue reads’The key belongs to the Orchard’s Earth.‘If you click the map, you’ll find it now has a yellow circle marker showing where to search for the key using the metal detector.
Head back upstairs and into themiddle of the Brewery Orchardto keep the bees at bay and take out the Beekeeper as necessary. However, there’s another crucial step to help you narrow the search, which involves upgrading a critical piece of gear todig the key up- the metal detector.
Left of the Beekeeper enemy, look for theScientist corpseslumped against the tree andcollect theDetector MK 2 Schematics noteon the ground, which is a crafting recipe that gives you theMetal Detector upgrade, similar toupgrading weapons inAtomfall.
To get the Brewery Cellar Key, you’ll need to dig it up using theupgraded Metal Detector,which you’re able to do in thecrafting menu. You can then use it to find the key locatednext to the wooden cart, not far from the corpse. As also shown in the video below, all five lights on the detector turn red and beep when you’ve found theburied cache containing the Brewery Cellar Key:

Armed with the Brewery Cellar Key, you may now use it to unlock the Brewery Cellar door. Once inside, you’ll need to drink the mysterious Angel Essence drink on the far side of the room. Doing so sheds more light on the situation and gives you another lead in the DLC’s main story investigation, along withtwo moreAtomfallskills:
Before leaving the Brewery Orchard, it’s also worth having a careful look around to find acollectible Druid Manuscriptcalled’The Bee’and anothergarden gnome location, both left of the building with the Brewery Cellar. There are also several Druid Baskets and a chest to open around the orchard, among other general collectible resources like Cloth.
