Elden Ring Nightreign’s Limveld may be smaller thanElden Ring’s The Lands Between, but a lot of mechanics from the game still make an appearance in Nightreign. While almost the entire map is open for you to explore at the start of the first day, there are a few areas that are locked off.
Evergaols may not be new areas to explore, but they do house powerful bosses that offer great rewards from their cache if you open them and defeat the boss. Evergaols are opened usingStonesword Keys; here’s how to get them.
Where To Get Stonesword Keys In Elden Ring Nightreign
Stonesword Keys arefound in rare chests, boss caches, or purchased from a merchant. Stonesword Keys will become a lot more common to find in a merchant’s inventory starting on the second day. Alsoon the second daywill be a small village that appears on the map with a merchant being the only resident, with no enemies. This merchant always sells a Stonesword Key.
Stonesword Keys cost 6,000 Runes a piece.
Chests and boss caches are left up to chance. They usually only drop out of nicer chests with iron inlays and not as often from just simple wooden chests. These chests aren’t a guarantee, but it is possible toget a Stonesword Key out of one of them right at the start of the first day. Bosses are also left up to chance, and you’re able to also run the risk of there being another even better reward you want to get instead. If you do choose to buy a Stonesword Key, make sure you’re close to an Evergaol and have the time left to get to it; otherwise, you’ll waste the runes, especially at the end of the second day.
Rewards For Evergaols In Elden Ring Nightreign
While it takes a bit of effort to get and use Stonesword Keys, the rewards from the cache for beating those bosses can be very worthwhile. Commonly occurring rewards from the cache include:
While there are other possible rewards, these can be incredibly useful, especially early into the game when you’re able to get the most out of the rune acquisition boost. 100,000 Runes can also be an easy level or two during the first day. Thebosses in the Evergaol do scale for whatever day you are on and ifyou’re playing alone, and overall, they are around the same difficulty as regular field bosses.
