Ray Amplifiers are one of the key components for mid-late game mining tools inDune: Awakening. Players will need them if they want to make the jump between resource tiers, but those who haven’t explored much of the map yet may find it hard to get these components.
Getting Ray Amplifiers inDune: Awakeningis a lengthy process, and that’s mostly because these components are found in one very specific and very large region of Hagga Basin, sograb a Literjon full of waterand prepare for a lengthy excursion.

Dune: Awakening Ray Amplifier Location
You can find Ray Amplifiersin Hagga Rift— specifically, they’re in containers in themany mining facilities and outpostslocated inside the enormous chasm spanning the region. These outposts will be marked on your map as you explore the Rift, but if you want them on your map immediately, use a Survey Probeto reveal the area.
The best place to get Ray Amplifiers early is The Stairway, a POI that connects the Hagga Rift surface to the deeper underground chasm. The Stairway is full of hostile NPCs that are fairly easy to beat, so if you find yourself in need of a lot of water, consider bringing three or four Blood Sacks so you can stock up on blood for purification later.
Clear the Stairway thoroughly, and you should be able to find multiple containers that may have some Ray Amplifiers for you to loot. If you’re lucky, you may find a chest that has up to 30 Ray Amplifiers inside.
Keep in mind that much like resource nodes, chests respawn at set intervals. If you ever find yourself needing more Ray Amplifiers, you can just raid the Stairway again.

Alternate Sources
If you don’t want to loot Ray Amplifiers, you can always check vendors if they have any for sale. The merchant at Pinnacle Station should have some for sale, but if he doesn’t, you can check the merchants at eitherHarko Village or Arrakeen. If all else fails, checkThe Exchangeat either of the latter social hubs. Other players might be selling Ray Amplifiers there.
How to Use Ray Amplifiers
Ray Amplifiers are needed to craft advanced mining tools, such as the Cutteray Mk3 and the Buggy Cutteray Mk4. Of course, you’ll also need a slew of other materials relevant to the tier of the mining tool you want to craft. As you progress through the tech tree, you’ll need better mining tools in order to break late-game resource nodes. You’ll need at least a Cutteray Mk3 to harvest Aluminum.
