Every Crystal Skull in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 1 – NInja Gaiden 2 Black
There are two Crystal Skulls inthe first chapter ofNinja Gaiden 2 Black.
Remember that, if you begin to collect Crystal Skulls in one playthrough, then start a New Game without completing the previous game, the Crystal Skulls you collect will carry over to the New Game.
Crystal Skull 1:
The first Crystal Skull is found right after the chest that contains the first Lives of the Thousand Gods, in the chamber where you first use the Obliteration technique. After opening the chest, the Crystal Skull is found on the roof across the gap. Make sure you take your time when jumping across, as there is no way to get back up if you miss the jump.
Crystal Skull 2:
After crossing the bridge in the area with the cherry blossom trees, you’ll make a right turn and head down a long stair set. As you head down the set, you’ll be attacked by an archer from an area above the stairs. On the right side of the path, you’ll see a slim rooftop ledge that will lead you to the overpass where the archer is standing. There is a tree at the end of the rooftop path that you can run up, then backflip off to reach the path. The second skull is in the same area as the archer, against a doorway at the end of the path.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 2 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There are two Crystal Skulls found inNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 2 – Castle of the Dragon.
Crystal Skull 3:
Not long after starting the second chapter, you’ll reach a river or canal area that you have to traverse. From the starting point, you’re able to see a bridge that goes over the water. Dive beneath the water at the bridge, and you’ll find Crystal Skull 3 on the canal floor.
Crystal Skull 4:
The fourth Crystal Skull inNinja Gaiden 2 Blackis located in the same chamber as the head of the massive dragon statue, after the mid-level boss fight withGyuki. You’ll notice in the chamber that there are two balconies, one on each side of the dragon’s head. To get the Crystal Skull 4, you use wall-run to reach the balcony on the right side of the chamber (if you are facing the dragon head-on). Use your weapon to break the screens, and you’ll find the skull on a shelf in the hidden chamber.
Technically, you may also jump to the balcony on the left side, as the chamber behind the screens is connected to both balconies. Watch out for the trap door in the middle of the connecting path, as it will drop you to the save point on the lower floor.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 3 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There aretwo Crystal Skullsfound inNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 3: Thunderclap of Catastrophe.
Crystal Skull 5:
After collecting the Vigoorian Flail and entering the garage area, you’ll have to climb a long flight of stairs to reach a raised platform. Thefifth Crystal SkullinNG2Bis at the very top of these stairs. You may need to take out the enemies, then return to the stairs and collect the skull.
Crystal Skull 6:
The second Crystal Skull in Chapter 3 is found in the tunnel with two large fans at both ends. You’ll know you are about to reach this chamber after you learn the technique to jump from wall-run to wall-run. There is a Muramasa Shop right outside the entrance to the tunnel chamber.
When you enter the chamber, turn right and shoot the blue light in the center of the fan. Go past the fan after it stops, and you’ll see the skull at the end of the opposite walkway. Use the metal plate at the end of the walkway to wall-run to the opposite side and collectCrystal Skull 6.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 4 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There are three Crystal Skulls found duringNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 4: A Captive Goddess.
Crystal Skull 7:
Just before you reach the second save point after reaching street level, you’ll find a small alley area. Use the wall in the picture above to reach the small platform where you’ll findCrystal Skull 7.
Crystal Skull 8:
The second Crystal Skull in Chapter 4 is found after the second save point, which sits just below the raised freeway. Head to the end of the freeway and you’ll find Crystal Skull 8 on a small ledge off to the side of the freeway.
Crystal Skull 9:
The final Crystal Skull in Chapter 4 is found in the base of the Statue of Liberty. From the top of the stairs where the save point is found, jump over the side, and you’ll find the skull on top of an industrial pipe.
There are no Crystal Skulls found inNinja Gaiden 2 Black’s fifth chapter.
There arethree Crystal Skullsfound inChapter 6: The Aqua Capital.
Crystal Skull 10:
From the start of Chapter 6, make your way up the stairs toward the bridge, but instead of making a right onto the bridge, make a left around the planter. You’ll have to face several enemies at the top of the stairs, so be ready to fight.
Once you turn left around the planter, head down the stairs, then go straight into the small inlet that is blocked off from the starting area. Run across the water, and you’ll find Crystal Skull 10 in a gondola floating on the opposite side of the inlet.
Crystal Skull 11:
Not long after Crystal Skull 10, you’ll come across the save point where you collect Dragon’s Claw and Tiger’s Fang, the dual katanas. Walk through the opening after the save point, then turn right immediately after exiting into the café patio area. You’ll seeCrystal Skull 11sitting on a table to your right.
Crystal Skull 12:
After defeating the enemies around the large fountain, drop into the fountain and enter the canal. When you reach the first broken gate, instead of going through (which is the main path), turn right towards the dead end.
After turning right, you’ll see that there is an alcove beneath a bridge.Crystal Skull 12is on the left side of the alcove, beneath the water.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 7 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There areThree Crystal SkullsinNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 7: The Lyncanthopes' Castle.
Crystal Skull 13:
The first Crystal Skull in Chapter 7 can be found not long after you begin the level. Use the broken pillar as a base to wall-jump up to the roof of the ruins where you fought the Water Dragon at the end of Chapter 6. Once you are on top of the roof, you’ll find Crystal Skull 13 on a ledge below the two stone slaps that form a peak.
Crystal Skull 14:
The next Crystal Skull is found immediately after you exit the cave area. As soon as you wall jump out of the cave, you’ll see a guillotine on the castle ramparts. After you watch the brief cutscene with Volf, use your weapon to cut the rope connected to the guillotine blade. This will cause the blade to fall, revealing the location ofCrystal Skull 14.
Crystal Skull 15:
The final Crystal Skull in chapter 7 is located in the library chamber, which is at the top of the white marble steps where Save Point 6 is located. After you defeat the enemies in the library, stand with your back to the fireplace, then look for the bookshelf, that is one to the left of the right corner. Attack the shelf andCrystal Skull 15will appear.
There are no Crystal Skulls found in Chapter 8.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 9 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There are two Crystal Skulls found inNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 9: The Flying Fortress Daedalus.
Crystal Skull 16:
Crystal Skull 16,the first skull found in Chapter 9, is located near the second save point in the plane’s cockpit. After you defeat ninjas guarding the control room, enter and use your weapon to destroy the small console on the left side of the main control panel. Destroying it will reveal Crystal Skull 16.
Crystal Skull 17:
From the fourth save point, which is found in the chamber with the Spider Ninja logo on the wall, use the ladder that becomes available after clearing the chamber to reach the level below.
Exit the first door you come to at the bottom of the ladder, then immediately turn right. You’ll seeCrystal Skull 17sitting in a pile of broken concrete.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 10 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Chapter 10: Submit, or Die!contains four Crystal Skulls.
Crystal Skull 18:
Crystal Skull 18is found not long after you encounter the first save point in Chapter 10. After crossing through the short indoor section, you’ll come across a street that is littered with mines. Make your way down the first street, then turn right to find an even longer mined street. Use your bow to kill the enemies with rocket launchers at the end of the street.
At the base of the building where the rocket-launching enemies were located, you’ll find Crystal Skull 18 on the ground in a corner. Watch out, as it is surrounded by mines.
Crystal Skull 19:
After you exit the large chamber with the church bells and circular metal ring you must hang from, you’ll come to a huge flight of stairs that leads you down to the lower levels. From the top, if you look down, you’ll seeCrystal Skull 19in a small relief cut from the wall. Grab it as you make your way down.
Crystal Skull 20:
Crystal Skull 20is found in the train station area, which you’ll enter after passing through the underground area that is connected to the church. After you clear the train platform of enemies, enter the train, and you’ll find the skull in the far right compartment.
Crystal Skull 21:
The final skull in chapter 10 can be found in the section with the large gears. Make your way up the gears until you reach a large wheel with several metal hanging points. As you hang from the wheel, you’ll see Crystal Skull 21 sitting on the gear you will land on.
There are no Crystal Skulls in Chapter 11.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 12 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There are four Crystal Skulls found inNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 12: Heart of Darkness.
Crystal Skull 22:
You’ll come acrossCrystal Skull 22early in chapter 12. After crossing two small swamp ponds with a single watchtower, you’ll come to a much larger pond with a watchtower and spotlights on both sides.
If you look at the watchtower on the right, you can see a blue glow at its base. Run across the water towards the tower on the right, then make your way around to the back of the tower, where you’ll find Crystal Skull 22 sitting in the corner.
Crystal Skull 23:
This skull is located not far past skull 22. As you move beyond the pond with two spotlights, you’ll come to a section with multiple tree branches you swing from, jumping from branch to branch. After that, you’ll pass through a small corridor with multiple bug enemies. Finally, you’ll encounter a long rope that you must use to cross the pond.
As you dangle from the rope, look to your right, and you’ll seeCrystal Skull 23on a pedestal. If you turn right, you can use tree branches to swing from the rope to the skull platform.
Crystal Skull 24:
This skull is found just after the third save point in chapter 12, which sits as the bottom of a massive hole in the ground. From the save point, continue into the area with the large, shallow pond.
In the pond, you’ll face two new enemy types: the chainsaw-arm demon, and the centipede pond demon. Defeat these enemies, then you’ll findCrystal Skull 24sitting on the ground in the back right corner of the pond (if you are standing at the entrance).
Crystal Skull 25:
Near the end of chapter 12, you’ll encounter a brief cutscene that shows the dead bodies of Spider Ninjas floating in a shallow river. If you run to the far end of the river, you’ll find Crystal Skull 25 sitting on the right shore, near a dead body.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 13 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There aretwo Crystal SkullsinNinja Gaiden 2 BlackChapter 13: The Temple of Sacrifice.
Crystal Skull 26:
After reaching the second save point in Chapter 13, you’ll head below ground and arrive at a large pool of acid. Once you’ve defeated all demons, use the wall-jump area at the end of the pool to reach the upper level. If you stop at the top and look ahead, you’ll seeCrystal Skull 26on top of the brick walls you must run across to reach the next side.
Perform the wall-run, then, when you reach the other side, turn around and wall run again to reach the level where the skull is.
Crystal Skull 27:
Crystal Skull 27 is very easy to find, as it is just off to the left of the massive staircase you descend once you reach the massive cavern with flying demons. A cutscene will let you know you’ve arrived in the right location. After you defeat the first few enemies, look off to the left and you’re able to see the skull. Once you are low enough on the stairs, you can jump to the ledge.
All Crystal Skull Locations in Chapter 14 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black

Crystal Skull 28:
After reaching the second save point in the chapter, you’ll encounter two giant spider ninja enemies. After you defeat them, you’ll have to make your way up and through a building.
After you jump out the window of the second floor, you’ll see a large gate that you must pass through to continue along the main path. Instead of passing through, turn right, and continue to the end of the path, which requires you to make another right turn around a small shed.
At the end of the path, around the corner of the shed, you’ll findCrystal Skull 28tucked away in the corner next to a gate.
Crystal Skull 29:
After you reach Save Point 3, you’ll quickly encounter a small swimming section. Dive and swim through the cave, then when you emerge, you’ll see a field of tall grass and a small shrine to the right. Attack the front of the shrine atCrystal Skull 29will be revealed.
Crystal Skull 30:
The final Crystal Skull can be found just before the fourth save point in Chapter 14. Just before the dragon statue, you’ll reach a rope that you’re able to hang from to cross a large chasm. Instead of crossing, however, you’ll want to jump to the valley below.
At the lowest level of the chasm, head to the end with a small cave. Enter the cave, and you’ll findCrystal Skull 30sitting on the ground.
