Monster Hunter Wilds' Next Major Update is Going to Be Filled With New Content

Title Update 2 Will Introduce Several New Monsters

Yuya Tokuda, the director ofMonster Hunter Wilds, recently revealed his plans for the future of the game in anofficial Capcom blog post. There, he outlined some of the features that were added toWildsin its Version 1.011 update, along with some of the content that Capcom has in store for the game’s next major patch. According to Tokuda, Title Update 2 will bring a bunch of 8-star-tempered monsters to the game, as well as an all-new arch-tempered monster. Tokuda has stated that, just like the beasts that were introduced toMonster Hunter Wildsin Version 1.011, these upcoming monsters will be tough to defeat.

Capcom Will Make Balance Adjustments and Add Quality-of-Life Features in Title Update 2

Monster Hunter Wilds' second Title Update is going to contain some miscellaneous new features, as well. The patch will add a few new settings toMonster Hunter Wilds' Photo Mode, such as the ability to disable character displays and the option to toggle off the glowing effects of skills and items. Capcom will also allow players to view skill details across various screens with the press of a single button, thus making build optimization easier than ever before. Layered weapons, which are basically theMonster Hunterequivalent of transmogrification, are also going to be implemented in Title Update 2.

Like most patches that have been released for the game,Monster Hunter Wilds' second Title Update will also make a bunch of balance adjustments. Tokuda stated in his Director’s Letter that the Hammer, one of the more commonweapon categories inMonster Hunter Wilds, will receive various buffs, such as the addition of offset effects for specific attacks and the inclusion of follow-up attacks upon successful offsets. The Dual Blades are going to get some major changes, too, but Tokuda didn’t provide any specific information about what said changes are.

Monster Hunter Wilds' Next Title Update Will Come Out in Summer 2025

Although Tokuda didn’t mention this in his Director’s Letter, Capcom confirmed a few weeks ago that Title Update 2 will also featurea new Festival of Accord seasonal event. Details on the event are still scarce, but given the pace that Capcom has adhered to with its updates so far, it’s likely that it will go live about two or three weeks after the launch of the patch. Title Update 2 is currently slated to release across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime in the summer of 2025, and like all ofMonster Hunter Wilds' patches, it will be free to all players.
