Players might be able to get a good idea of whatPersona 4 Revivalcould offer from a look back atPersona 3 Reload. It might not be a perfect comparison, sincePersona 3andPersona 4already had their fair share of differences from the start. Regardless,Persona 4 Revivalis likely to make a fair amount of changes compared to the original andPersona 4 Golden. Persona 4 Revival is Almost Guaranteed to See Graphical Upgrades

Looking at theimproved features fromPersona 3 Reloadis a good first step towards what players might be able to expect fromPersona 4 Revival. Obviously, updated graphics and presentation are a given. This is likely to include a new voice cast, and possibly more of the game’s dialogue being voiced than in the original. In addition, it could continue a trend thatPersona 5started by giving each member of the party their own finishing poses after triggering an All-Out Attack. While not as important as the gameplay itself, it’s reasonable to expect a visual upgrade forPersona 4 Revival.

Adjustments to certain mechanics are also on the table.Persona 5’s Baton Passwas used as the basis for the Shift mechanic inPersona 3 Reload, andPersona 4 Revivalis likely to have a similar mechanic as well.Persona 3 Reloadalso saw Light and Dark skills reworked to deal damage, rather than being low-accuracy instant kill skills. This was a major boost for Personas that use those skills, and could be amazing for Naoto, who specializes in them. These were two simple changes to the battle system that servedPersona 3 Reloadwell, so it would make sense to retain them.

Persona 4 Revival Could Follow Up on Cool Previous Additions

A few entirely new features are also a possibility worth considering.Fuuka inPersona 3 Reloadhad a set of new navigator abilities, and Rise could potentially get something similar. Likewise, the addition of Theurgies effectively gave each party member an extremely powerful special move to pull out in a key situation. Outside of battle, Be Blue V was reworked to function similarly toPokemon’s Move Reminder, letting the player remember old skills to adjust their party members' movesets. These were all useful additions to the formula, and it would be good news ifPersona 4 Revivalbrought them back in some way.

Several of theProtagonist’s Theurgies inPersona 3 Reloadpreviously appeared as Fusion Spells, but not all returned in the remake.
