While you may encounter merchants during expeditions inElden Ring Nightreign, the game’s most important purchases are made at the Small Jar Bazaar in the Roundtable Hold. This little shop sells relics, emotes, and other items that are permanently unlocked for all of yourNightreigncharacters, but what’s worth buying in the early stages of the game?
The Small Jar Bazaar is the only place to spend Murk at the beginning ofElden Ring Nightreign, but a few other things become available in exchange for Murk after you defeat a few more Nightlords and progress through the story. Some players choose to save their Murk when first starting out, but there are some genuinely helpful upgrades at the Small Jar Bazaar that shouldn’t be ignored.
Best Things to Buy at the Small Jar Bazaar in Elden Ring Nightreign
The Small Jar Bazaar’s inventory is quite limited at the beginning ofElden Ring Nightreign, but its stock quickly expands as you defeat more Nightlords and progress through the game. As such, it’s not recommended to waste your Murk on the Relics and emotes on offer during the opening hours of the game. Unless you’re planning on farming Murk by repeating expeditions, it’s a better idea to save your money as a new player.
Goblets
That’s because the Small Jar Bazaar’s first inventory upgrade adds a set of hugely important items to the store. After successfully defeating Tricephalos and completing your very first expedition, the Small Jar Bazaar will start to carry Goblets for each of the game’s characters. Priced at 1200 Murk each, these unlock newRelic Ritesfor the specified characters.
With a new Relic Rite unlocked, you’ll be able to take new Relic loadouts into expeditions. Relics are color coded, so they can only be equipped into slots that match their color. Unlocking a new Relic Rite for a character will change the available colors for their trio of Relics, letting you experiment with different combinations and synergies. For example,Ironeye’s starting Relic Rite lets him equip one yellow and two green Relics. Ironeye’s Goblet unlocks a new loadout with a one red, one blue, and one yellow slot instead.
Skins
If the Relics available for purchase at the Small Jar Bazaar don’t interest you, then you can also save your Murk for some cosmetics later down the line. Skins aren’t available at the beginning ofElden Ring Nightreign, but you’ll unlock a Dresser in the Roundtable Hold that lets you change your appearance after completing your second expedition. Skins are pricy inNightreign, so saving up some Murk is a good idea.
After you buy your main character’s Goblet from the Small Jar Bazaar andset aside some Murk for cosmetics, you may start to spend your Murk more freely. Some of the Relics that the Small Jar Bazaar sells can come in handy for certain builds, and you’ll eventually have more Murk than you know what to do with, anyway.
