Deltarune’sChapter 3 will see players continue on their adventure with Susie and Ralsei in this parallel version of theUndertalestory. After working their way through the first stage of Tenna’s game show, players won’t be able to advance until they figure out what their host is hiding. After speaking with Tenna, they can then ‘press the buttons’ of a guard blocking a door, only to be greeted by another door with a parental lock code at the end of a corridor.

In this guide, I’ll explainhow to solve both of the parental lock code puzzles inDeltaruneChapter 3, and provide the solutions in case you want to just get onto the next part of your adventure.

How to Solve First Parental Lock Code Puzzle in Deltarune Chapter 3

Not As it First Seems

The first parental lock puzzle is pretty simple. After you take a guess, and most likely get the code wrong (unless you’ve just used the solution above), the TVs will turn on in the room. Interact with the console, and you’ll be greeted with three basic rooms. The one on the left has three blue blocks and four brown patches, the second is filled with grass, and the third has an orange switch in the bottom corner.

Start by interacting with all the grass in the middle room. This will reveal a pattern of brown patches. Now go right and you’ll be on the left TV screen. Pick up one of the blue blocks, and move it onto the orange switch in the right room. This will cause orange patches to appear in the room which happen to spell out the number ‘3’.

Move the other blue blocks in the left room and you’ll reveal a number ‘1’ and the middle room clearly shows the number ‘2.’ The twist here is the order of the rooms going from left to right. In other words, the middle room is actually the first room, followed by the left room, and then the right room. This means the parental lock code is 213.

Both parental lock code puzzles can be made easier if youearn an S rank in Tenna’s game show. This will get you access to a room with minigames which will earn you different items. You need to earn more S ranks to unlock more secret minigames in this room, but one will be a sword which makes both puzzles much easier. In the first puzzle, you may use the sword to quickly cut the grass, rather than pulling it out bit by bit.

How to Solve the Second Parental Lock Code Puzzle in Deltarune Chapter 3

So Many Screens

The second puzzle requires you to get the key to unlock the door on the bottom right TV. However, as you move around the screens, the key will also move around. The trick here is to use the two blue blocks on the bottom left TV and block the path so they key gets trapped. Without being able to carry on escaping, you’ll then need to catch the key by running into it. It can take a little bit of trial and error, but once you’ve got the blocks in place, it’ll happen eventually.

You don’t need to place the blue blocks in any particular area. As long as the path is completely blocked off, the key won’t be able to escape and you can complete the puzzle.

After unlocking the door with the key, the TV screens will now show the code, but it’ll be all jumbled up. Like last time, you need to determine the order of the screens.

The easiest way to do this is to look for the brick corners shown on the screens. This will reveal the second parental lock code to be 2115.

With the code entered into the door, you’re able to then carry on into the next room, which is very cold and has a surprise waiting by a festive tree. Remember you canmakeDeltarunefullscreen if you’re finding the minimized window default on PC is ruining the experience.
