It remains unclear whether the Byakugo seal onSakura and Tsunade’s foreheadsis connected to the Karma seal, which was implanted in Boruto and Kawaki’s bodies by Momoshiki and Isshiki Otsutsuki. However, there’s a strong possibility these two seals are connected not just because of their obvious visual similarities, but also because of their seal-based mechanics and time of emergence.
According to Sakura, Tsunade once talked about a jutsu, possibly the Byakugo, from a long, long time ago, back when theSage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, still existed in Boruto Part 1, chapter 36.
