Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems in Wednesday

A Wednesday Season 2 Fan Theory Involves Lurch And Principal Larissa Weems, But How Practical Is It?

One fan theory has been discussed in a few different Reddit threads: thatPrincipal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) has shapeshifted intoLurch (Joonas Suotamo).Redditor @Darkhumor_iseliteexplained:

“I’ve heard 2 theories, that it could either be the stalker or that Principal Weems is still alive and shapeshifted into Lurch. I think the Principal theory holds the most weight, because we never see Lurch and Weems together in a scene, so it’s very likely that she might not get every detail about him correct (e.g the glassy eye) as she probably only ever saw him from a distance.”

Redditor @heyitsmejenn agreed:

“Definitely makes sense!”

Redditor @Clair307wonders if maybe another character is posing as Lurch and wrote,“possibly her stalker is also a shapeshifter and shape-shifted to be Lurch.“There are manyfan theories about Wednesday Addams’s season 2 stalker, and it’s interesting to think that she could have no idea that an enemy, not her family butler, is driving her around. This would definitely add a layer of dramatic tension to their scenes and it would be fun to see Wednesday’s shocked expression when Lurch turns back into Weems.

However, no matter how much fans would love to see Weems again,it doesn’t seem likely that Weems shapeshifted into Lurch. This wouldmake the season 1 finale feel less powerfulas Weems’s death would be less impactful. Even though it was sad to let this character go, Weems was a casualty of the evil at Nevermore Academy caused by Laurel Gates/Marilyn Thornhill (Christian Ricci) andTyler Galpin/The Hyde Monster (Hunter Doohan). If Weems was still alive, wouldn’t that have been hinted at in the final moments of the first season, or in the teaser trailer that was recently released? That would definitely be a fun reveal that would make fans even more excited to see the new episodes.

But even though this fan theory might not become a reality, one thing is for sure:fans want to hear more Addams Family backstoryand it would be a great idea to make Lurch more of a main character. Many would agree thatLurch needs a larger role inWednesdayseason 2. Understandably, some viewers wonder if Weems could come back as Lurch because they’re both singular, compelling, and haunting characters. But it would make more sense for Lurch to share more scenes with Wednesday and her younger brother Pugsley (Issac Ordonez) than for Weems to be hiding in Lurch’s body.

Could Principal Weems Appear In Wednesday Season 2?

Although Principal Weems dies at the end ofWednesdayseason 1, fans have wondered if she could still appear in season 2. It’s possible thatWeems could show up as a ghost. But otherwise, it’s tough to imagine her coming back, especially since there has been no announcement that Gwendoline Christie is reprising her role. While it’s possible that Weems is alive and Christie’s involvement will be a big surprise, that might be unlikely.

At the very least, fans can likelyexpect Weems to be referenced in some way inWednesdayseason 2. Since she had such a significant presence at Nevemore Academy, it’s unlikely that the students and teachers would move on easily from her tragic death. Perhaps there will be a dramatic storyline where the new principal tries to erase some of the things that Weems contributed to Nevermore, and the students rebel. Afterwatching the teaser trailer, fans are definitely interested in seeing where the dark story goes next, and it will be fun to see if any fans made accurate predictions about the second season.
