According toMen’s Health, the X account @MyTimeToShineH posteda rumor thatStranger Thingsseason 5 might be released in three parts. This would mean that part one comes out in October 2025, part two comes out in November 2025, and then part three doesn’t come out until 2026.
It’s important to note that this is speculation and there is no confirmation of this rumor. At the time of this writing,Stranger Thingsseason 5 has no official release date.
Since not everyone thinks thatStranger Thingsseason 5 should be split up into two volumes, which was the release strategy used for season 4,releasing it in three volumes would be an even worse idea. It’s been three years since season 4 part one was released in May 2022, and I think thatmaking fans wait until 2026 for the series finale, or perhaps the last two episodes, would be a major mistake. Some are fed up with how long it’s taking to see the end of the Upside Down’s story, andmany wish that the last season could come out in summer 2025.
While I understand that pushing the series finale until 2026 would create even more hype and anticipation, I think it would be a frustrating decision. At this point, fans are talking about the show’s potential release date as much as possible storylines and character moments, andviewers are ready for Hawkins, Vecna, and Eleven’s final chapter.
I also wonder if releasingStranger Thingsseason 5 in three volumes would mean too many cliffhangers. While it’s fine to feature a big twist at the end of part one, it would be too much to do that again at the end of part two. Since November 6th is referred to as “Stranger ThingsDay” becauseWill Byers disappeared on November 6th, some viewers think that this could be when part one or part two is released.

I think it would make sense to releaseStranger Thingsseason 5 part two in November 2025, andit would make fans happy if it were released on the same day that Will’s dark and scary journey began.
