Some are known only to a handful of people, while others manage to carve their names into the pages of history. With that in mind, here arethe strongest non-human pirates inOne Piece, ranked based on their strength.
7New Fish-Man Pirates
The Pathetic Third Generation Of Fish-Man Pirates
As the name suggests, theNew Fish-Man Piratesare the latest addition to a short list of Fish-Men who decided to become pirates. Interestingly enough, they are also the weakest. Under the leadership ofa great white shark Fish-Man named Hody Jones,this pirate crew tries to overthrow the Ryugu Kingdom.
Unfortunately for them, the Straw Hats happen to visit Fish-Man Island at the time. These cocky yet inexperienced Fish-Men are no match for Luffy and his comrades. Even when they use a strange drug to push their bodies beyond their limits to gain a terrifying amount of power, the Straw Hats still manage to beat them up with ease.
6Arlong Pirates
The Cruel Second Generation Of Fish-Man Pirates
TheArlong Piratesare the first Fish-Man pirates to appear in the story. They are the ones who took over Nami’s hometown and forced her to become a thief. Despite showing up early in the story, they are stronger than Hody Jones and his henchmen.Arlong and his crew prove to be a difficult opponent,but Luffy and the Straw Hats eventually manage to defeat them.
Before forming his own pirate crew, Arlong and most of his followers were members of the famed Sun Pirates. The death of their captain, the legendary Fisher Tiger, caused a conflict within the ranks. Arlong disagreed with Jinbe, the new captain of the Sun Pirates, so he decided to leave the crew and form his own Arlong Pirates instead.
5Tontatta Pirates
The Smallest Pirates In The World
Tontatta is the name ofa tribe of dwarves that lives in the Dressrosa Kingdom.Their bodies may only be the size of an adult human’s hands, but their innate physical strength is easily several times greater than that of an average human.
Incidentally, since Luffy and the Straw Hats helped free their princess from the clutches of Doflamingo, the Tontattas agree to help Luffy by becoming one of the members of the Straw Hats Grand Fleet. Not only that, but they also went on to form their own crew, theTontatta Pirates. They may be cute and small, but make no mistake, these little pirates can destroy a ship in seconds.
4New Giant Warrior Pirates
The Spiritual Successor To The Mighty Giant Pirates
The Giant Warrior Pirates were once feared and admired across the seas, before suddenly fading into obscurity. As a young giant raised on tales of the brave and mighty Giant Warrior Pirates,Hajrudin is determined not to let the world forgetthe legacy of his predecessors. So, he decided to form theNew Giant Warrior Pirateswith his childhood friends.
The New Giant Warrior Pirates haven’t made a name for themselves yet, but considering they are a crew full of Giant warriors, it’s only a matter of time before the world knows their name. Hajrudin himself is one of the many pirates who took the vow to become a member of the Straw Hats Grand Fleet back in Dressrosa. That’s why he is deeply attached to Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats crew.
3Nox Pirates
The First Pirate Crew From The Mink Tribe
The Minks tribe is quite possibly the most isolated tribe in the world. After all, they live on the back of a colossal elephant that constantly roams the vast ocean. They have everything that they need, but that doesn’t mean they are not curious about the outside world. That’s why they decided to send a group of the finest Mink warriors to explore the sea as part of the Nox Expedition Party, under the leadership of a Jaguar Mink named Pedro.
The Minks are inherently powerful. That’s why they can handle any kind of pirates, monsters, and Marines that come to disturb their voyage. Unfortunately for them, their power and resistance make the World Government consider their expedition party as a group of pirates. Rather than being upset, Pedro embraces that title andchanges their name to theNox Pirates.Unfortunately, they stumbled upon the Big Mom pirates and were subsequently destroyed, leaving Pedro as the only survivor.
2Sun Pirates
The Legendary Fish-Man Pirates
TheSun Pirateswere the first Fish-Man pirates to roam the ocean. Most of the crew were former slaves of the World Nobles, freed by the legendary Fisher Tiger. In addition to the captain, this pirate crew also included Jinbe, Arlong, and most Fish-Men who would later be part of the Arlong Pirates.
Before Fisher Tiger lost his life, he appointed Jinbe the new captain. Jinbe honored Fisher Tiger’s commitment to having a friendly relationship with humans. Arlong despised that sentiment,so he left the crew and formed the Arlong Pirates.Years later, Jinbe resigned from his position to become the helmsman of the Straw Hats Pirates. He appointed his first mate, Aladine, to be the new captain of the Sun Pirates.
1Giant Warrior Pirates
The Legendary Pirate Crew
TheGiant Warrior Pirateswere once feared and admired as one of the most powerful forces in the world. After all, a single Giant can easily destroy a large ship. Imagine a crew full of trained Giant warriors. The world was lucky because they were mostly there to have fun rather than cause unnecessary killing and destruction.
Despite their immense strength, the Giant Warrior Pirates suddenly halted their voyage and gradually faded into nothing more than stories in the pages of history. The reason for their sudden disappearance was a disagreement between the captains, Dorry and Brogy, andthey decided to duke it out on an uninhabited island until they could come to an agreement. Unfortunately, their strengths were evenly matched. This battle continued for decades without a clear winner, thus putting the great Giant Warrior Pirates in a temporary disbandment.
In an interesting turn of events, the captains recently put aside their differences to help their mutual friends, Luffy and the Straw Hats. Dorry and Brogy gathered their old crews and help the Straw Hats escape from Egghead Island. Now, they enjoy their time together in the hometown of the Giants,the Island of Elbaf.It’s unclear whether this signifies the comeback of the legendary Giant Warrior Pirates or only a temporary reunion. One thing is clear, though: They are still as powerful and as menacing as ever.
