The Sims 4is planning some big updates for the summer of 2025, as a newly revealed roadmap lists six dates that fans of the popular life simulator will want to keep an eye on. Fans ofThe Sims 4can expect the reveal of the game’s next expansion pack soon, and there will be multiple free upgrades to the base game between now and the end of August as well.

So far, 2025 has already seen plenty of additions to the game. New Creator Kits have been rolling out since January, offering more ways for players to decorate their homes and community lots around specific themes. The biggest addition so far, however, has been therelease ofThe Sims 4’s Businesses & Hobbies expansionin March, which has given players plenty of new skills to build and greatly expanded the game’s small business ownership system.

Now entering summer, most of Maxis' plans have shifted to the game’s next expansion, which is titled Enchanted by Nature. The expansion’s reveal is planned for June 12, and its first trailer will be launched on June 26, ahead of its planned July 10 launch. There has been very little information officially released ahead of Enchanted by Nature’s planned reveal, but based on the name, it will almost certainly be centered around the outdoors. Additionally,leaks have suggested fairies will be coming toThe Sims 4in the upcoming expansion.

The Sims 4 Summer 2025 Roadmap Dates Revealed

While players may want to brace themselves for anothersupernatural expansion inThe Sims 4, Maxis isn’t forgetting about its free-to-play players. Expansions to the base game will be made available twice over the summer, on July 1 and August 19. Again, there is little information about what will be included in these updates, but Maxis is likely to reveal more as their respective releases approach.

Along with the mystery of what could be included in the new expansion and base game upgrades, the roadmap also includes one previously announced special in-game event.The Sims 4’s Nature’s Calling event, which is scheduled to kick off on June 24 and will run for at least four weeks, will allow players to claim a variety of rewards by logging into the game and completing special quests, similar to how past events like Reaper’s Rewards have worked. Four weekly rounds of rewards are planned, and the rewards will include outdoor furniture, clothing, nature magazine collectibles, and a special tattoo.
