Moreover, the bullet also pierced Mel’s neck and eventually killed her. Before she took her last breath, it was revealed that Mel was pregnant and wanted Ellie to cut her stomach. They finally arrived at the theater where Dina was residing. Shortly after that, Tommy asked if Ellie was okay with going back to Jackson. To which, she said that she didn’t have a choice. Ellie thanked Jesse for coming back for her and not leaving her in Seattle. Jesse replied by saying that the thought of leaving did come to his mind, but he knew if he were in the same situation, she would have burned the world down to save him. However, this sweet moment is cut short when they hear gunshots coming from the other part of the theater, and as soon as Jesse opens the door to that part, he is killed by a bullet. Ellie manages to hide, but a female voice tells her to come out or else, she’ll kill Tommy too.

As soon as Ellie comes out, it is revealed that Abby has found them, and she recognizes Ellie. She said that she let her live the day she killed Joel, and that was a big mistake. The screen goes black as soon as Abby pulls the trigger. A few moments later, Abby is seen resting on the couch when Manny comes and tells her that Isaac wants to see her. She wakes up and sees the WLF settling inside a stadium. Before the end credits roll in, viewers see “Seattle Day One” written on the screen, which confirms that Season 3 will be all about Abby’s journey.
