Demon Slayercould’ve been written off as a monster-of-the-week anime at first, but the unique fights and amazing animation ensured that fans would love even the simplest fights in the series. After finding two demons with their conscience intact, Tanjiro and Nezuko must team up against a demonic duosent by Muzan to stop them.
Susamaru’s ability to smash opponents with temari balls is decent, but Yahaba’s ability to alter the flow of movement using his powers is what makes this battle so riveting. This is the first sign of the amazing animation that fans will witness in laterDemon Slayerarcs.
6Hashira Training
Hashira Training marks a major turning point inDemon Slayer, giving fans one last look at the most notable characters undergoing a training arc for the ages before the Infinity Castle storyline is underway.
Even for a training arc, Hashira Training boasts some beautiful animation that shows just how much Ufotable has become comfortable with going all-out in this series. From the intro to the arc showing off Sanemi and Obanai’s powers tothe finale that shows one of the most tense and beautiful sequencesbetween Muzan and the Ubuyashiki family, this arc doesn’t shy away from flexing the budget that Ufotable has, even when it doesn’t need to.
5Tsuzumi Mansion
The Revolving Mansion Is Animated Beautifully
After Zenitsu and Inosuke join Tanjiro in their travels, they find themselves inside a mansion full of demons that serves as the domicile of a former Lower Rank Moon. Inosuke’s fight may be somewhat remarkable, but fans were shocked to see the cowardly Zenitsu pull off a spectacular victory as he beheaded a powerful demon rather effortlessly.
However, the highlight of this arc is undoubtedly the fight between Tanjiro and Kyogai. Manga fans know firsthand that Ufotable went above and beyond torecreate the motion of the revolving roomduring this tense fight, to the point where it brought the creator to tears as their vision was adapted in such a beautiful manner.
4Mount Natagumo
The Fight Against Rui Was So Beautiful That The Show Became Ridiculously Popular
WhileDemon Slayerwas slowly growing in popularity, it wasn’t until the heroes came to Mount Natagumo that the show catapulted to the stratosphere of popularity.Zenitsu has yet another epic momentas he pushes Thunder Breathing’s First Form to new heights, and Inosuke struggles to defeat the Father Spider Demon before getting an assist from a Hashira.
Once again, Tanjiro’s fight steals the show here. His battle with Rui ends with one of the most beautiful sequences that single-handedly turned Episode 19 into one of the most viral moments in modern anime history.
3Entertainment District
The Fight Against Daki & Gyutaro Is Amazing To Behold
With the success of Mugen Train and a ton of funds to spare, Ufotable decided to reach new heights yet again with the release of the Entertainment District arc. Fans were treated to a visual spectacle for the ages as Tanjiro and his friends teamed up with the Sound Hashira to witness the cause of a disturbance in this area.
This led to the duo of Daki and Gyutaro being revealed, placing the demon slayers in a fight for their lives. Tengen and Gyutaro’s deadly dance was extended by Ufotable with brilliant flourishes, and the battles boasted such impeccable animation that fans could’ve believed that they weren’t watching a movie.
2Mugen Train
Rengoku And The Other Demon Slayers Get Their Chance To Shine
In many ways, therelease ofMugen Trainopened fans' eyes. They realized just how much Ufotable had spoiled them with the movie-quality animation of the first season, and just how much further they could push the quality of their battles.
The fight against Enmu was a dazzling spectacle, but it wasn’t until Akaza joined the fray that Rengoku showed the true extent of his powers. Ufotable’s enhancements made all of his moves look downright breathtaking, up until the final blow where he met his hand at the hand of Akaza’s unfair strength.
1Swordsmith Village
Both Gyokko And Hantengu Finally Meet Their Match
Swordsmith Village wastes no time in getting the action going after a few episodes detailing the history of Sun Breathing’s first user and the blade he wielded. Both Gyokko and Hantengu are intimidating figures who push the demon slayers to their very limit.
After awakening his demon slayer mark, Muichiro shows a dazzling display of Mist Breathing at its finest as he beheads Gyokko in a solo battle. Meanwhile, the other demon slayers push themselves to the very limit against Hantengu’s many personalities before eventually taking him out as the sun rises, with Nezuko’s immunity to the sun marking a beautiful end to this amazing arc.
