Each of the entries below will break downthe best passive abilities inElden Ring Nightreign, what they do, and some of the weapons and items players can find them on.
Defeating Enemies Restores HP
This passive is a great one regardless of what character you are playing or whatNightreignrelicsyou are using. Every time anyone downs an enemy, you will get a little boost of HP, which can be the difference between success and defeat. Here are the weapons that can have this passive attached to them:
Katana
Add Element to Weapon
When you pick a boss to take down at the beginning of the round, those bosses all have elements that they are weak to. For example,Sentient Pest inNightreignis weak to fire weapons. This means every time you drop into a new location, the first thing you want to do is look for the little icons on the map that match the type of weapons you will need in the coming battles. There are too many elements and weapons that can have those elements on them to list here, but simply keep an eye out for the icon that matches the element you need.
Improved Stance-Breaking When Wielding Two Weapons and Improved Stance-Breaking When Two-Handing
If you are two-handing or dual-wielding weapons, improving your stance-breaking is a really great addition to your build. There are a number ofNightreignweaponsthat you can get with this passive on them.
Medium Shield
Damage Negation Up While Casting Spells and Damage Negation Up While Charging Attacks
If you need to stand still for any amount of time to charge your spells or attacks, this passive will be of great help to you. Considering how vulnerable you are when you are stuck in the charging animation, anything that can help negate the damage you take while getting your attack ready will be valuable.
Less Likely to Be Targeted
Since casters can be super squishy, the Less Likely to Be Targeted passive can be a massive help if you are playingNightreign’s Revenant classor a Recluse. It will push the enemies to go after the tankier members of your team.
Glintstone Staff
Improved Spell Casting Speed
Reducing your spells' cast time might not feel huge in the moment, but over the course of your fights, it will give you a boost that could save you and your teammates. It’s especially useful when you are trying to hit anyrandom players in aNightreignrunto revive them.
Curved Greatsword
Reduced Spell FP Cost
If you have more FP after casting your spells, you’re able to cast more spells, which will deal more damage. This stat can be found on a bunch of weapons, including almost every kind of weapon currently in the game.
Improved Attack Power When Two-Handing and Improved Attack Power When Wielding Two Weapons
While boosting your attack power might sound boring, this buff to your damage will actually make a huge difference. This is great for agoodNightreignWylder build, for Ironeye, and for Raider.
Sacred Seal
Improved Incantations and Improved Sorceries
Just like the improved attack power for two-handing or duel-wielding listed above, this is just a flat-out boost to your damage. This is especially handy for blasting anElden RingNight Lordin the face with its weakness; you can really get some big spells off and tear into their health bars with this buff.
Staff of the Guilty
Halberd
Most Legendary Weapon Passives
Legendary weapons are incredibly rare, so they tend to have extremely strong passives attached to them. Most of these can be almost game-breaking so long as the weapon aligns closely with the class you are playing. TheGrafted Blade Greatsword fromElden Ringis probably the most useful weapon for any class, but each of the legendary weapons can probably be useful to you or one of your teammates. Make sure to drop any legendary items you pick up that would better suit the other classes of those you are currently playing with.
