A New Tales of Remaster Will Be Revealed This Summer

With such a long-reaching history, there are only a few games in the series that have been remastered so far, leaving a lot of choices on the table. The last two original games in the series,Tales of Ariseand the mobile-onlyTales of Luminaria, both came out in 2021, whileTales of Graces F Remasteredwas released this January.Tales of Symphoniahas technically been remasteredtwice; originally packed together with its sequel,Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, in 2013, and then again as a standalone remastered version in February 2023. Additionally, a remaster of 2008’sTales of Vesperiawas released in 2019, packaged as the game’s Definitive Edition.

Though there’s no way of knowing which game will be next, fans have theirTales ofremastered wish listsin mind. There have been several suggestions made by fans, but the two games that have been dominating the conversation appear to be 2005’sTales of the Abyssand 2011’sTales of Xillia. The latter title received a direct sequel in 2012, so it’s possible that Bandai Namco could be working to remaster bothTales of Xilliagames into one title, much like the company did with theTales of Symphoniagames a dozen years ago.
