Sapienza dates back to the 2016Hitman, the only game in the reboot trilogy that adopted an episodic release format. It was originally launched in April 2016 and quickly established itself as a fan favorite. Two and a half games and nearly ten years later, Sapienza is still widely regarded as theabsolute best level fromHitman: World of Assassination. Its popularity comes down to several factors, including the scenic setting inspired by the Amalfi Coast and Vernazza, a coastal town in northwestern Italy.
A New Hitman: World of Assassination Sapienza Challenge Is Out Today
Like every other map inHitman: World of Assassination, Sapienza can be experienced in virtual reality. When purchased separately, it is regularly priced at $9.99. This freebie coincides with the launch of a new in-game challenge titled “Bend it like 47,” which tasks players with finding and shooting four beach balls scattered across Sapienza. In typical IOI fashion, the name of the challenge is a pop culture reference—a playful nod to the 2002 British sports comedyBend It Like Beckham. The movie’s title is itself a reference to David Beckham’s famed ability to curve the ball when shooting, crossing, or passing. Completing “Bend it like 47” will reward players with an “exciting new item,” IOI said.
