Summary
WithSplitgate 2introducing a class system, the gameplay has changed a little bit compared to the original game. The classes offer unique abilities and access to different weapons, although the weapon categories are shared among all of them. However, there is a difference between the shotgun for Aeros and the shotgun for Meridian, for example.
This takes the balancing to a new level. So, maybe one class features a better ability, but comes with mediocre weapons. That will force players to avoid sticking to one class and switch between them based on the game mode. However, a weapon tier list is always valid, especially in a game mode like battle royale, where every class has access to every weapon.
7Goliath
A Reliable Secondary For Landing Powerful Shots
The heavy pistol forSabraskpacks a strong punch and is a good option for players to target enemies from afar, especially when running with a shotgun. The fire rate is not decent, but the damage output is pretty impressive. For players withDestiny 2experience, Goliath will feel like an epic Hand Cannon.
Unfortunately, there is no Extended Magazine option in the attachments for Goliath to increase its 6-round magazine size, but players can use Laser Sight and Barrel Extension to increase the range and accuracy of the weapon. Using the Ammo Now perk on Sabrask can also help more with the reload speed of the weapon.
6Sprinter
Not The Best Option But Still The Most Reliable SMG
The name of the weapon fits well into its role for theAerosplayers. It’s far better than the SMGs that Meridian or Sabrask classes are equipped with. Not only is the fire rate decent, but the recoil of the Sprinter is also mild and controllable.
Using weapon attachments like Barrel Extension can help with the Sprinter’s range. Extended Magazine can also help with fewer reloads, though the bullets are quite weak, and probably more than half a magazine would be required to kill opponents without hitting heads.
5Hyperline
Best Carbine For Long-Range Gunfights In Battle Royale
The carbine for Meridian is the one with the highest fire rate, and honestly, that’s an important factor in carbines. None of the carbines will one-shot the enemies, so the faster fire rate can help significantly with finishing off the opponent before they can find cover.
Since Hyperline is a long-range weapon, it excels atbattle royalegunfights. So, this is the one weapon players need to look for higher rarity variants of while scavenging the chests in battle royale. It might not have the range of a Burst Rifle, but using Barrel Extension and Rapid Fire attachments will make it a deadlier weapon.
4Quantum
Fast-Firing Burst Rifle With Maximum Range
The Burst Rifle for Meridian is quite easy to use. It shoots three bullets in rapid succession, and the range is also pretty good for the weapon, making it ideal for hunting opponents from afar in battle royale matches. Having either a Burst Rifle or a Carbine is highly recommended for battle royale builds, and Quantum is the best Burst Rifle among all of them.
It doesn’t have the highest damage output, but it shoots three bullets, while Sabrask’s Burst Rifle shoots only two. Using Rapid Fire and Bullet Burst increases the fire rate for Quantum even more. However, the weapon isn’t really a considerable option for Arenas.
3Synapse
A Combination Of High Fire Rate And Colossal Magazine Size
Assault Rifles exist in almost every standard shooter, and they usually deliver balanced performance between fire rate and damage output. Synapse is the fastest-firing assault rifle in Splitgate 2, though it sacrifices damage output for that.
Since the weapon shoots more rounds per second, it also comes with a 40-round magazine, which is a massive plus for Meridian players as they will need fewer reloads. Now, if the players use the Extended Magazine attachment, the bullet count per magazine goes up to 50 rounds, and that makes Meridians unstoppable in Arenas.
2Trailblazer
The Strongest Assault Rifle For Those With Perfect Aim
What makes Trailblazer the best Assault Rifle inSplitgate 2is its massive damage output and decent fire rate. Trailblazer has the lowest fire rate among weapons of its category, but using the Rapid Fire attachment will increase its fire rate by one unit, making it equal to that of Tempo.
Synapse still comes with a higher rate, but when the damage output is high, the player can do more with fewer bullets. So, Trailblazer is a much better choice for players who trust in their aim, while Synapse provides more room for mistakes and issuitable for casuals.
1Blitz
A Flawless Weapon Created For Run And Gun
By far, Blitz is the best shotgun inSplitgate 2, coming with the fastest fire rate among all weapons of the same category. It suits an Aeros player well, and it also gets the job done quickly for those with a good enough aim.
The faster fire rate of Blitz makes it ideal for run and gun in Arena modes. And when it’s combined with the speed of Aeros, along with some weapon attachments like Knuckles and Barrel Extension, Blitz unleashes its true power.
