Hwang Dongsoo wants to kill Sung Jinwoo - Solo Leveling

Unlike his past foes, his new opponents will be foolish enough to put his loved ones, the people he treasures the most, in danger. Like any other main character, Jin-Woo will naturally get angry, making his foes tremble in fear at the intensity of his aura alone. Fans know how much he cares for his loved ones, so it’s no surprise that, when pushed, he’ll cause chaos like never before.

“It’s going to take more than that to kill me, so put up a better fight. Otherwise, I’ll feel bad. Give it your all. Let’s fight at full force”—Sung Jin-Woo

While the third season remains unconfirmed, two of the most exciting battles that involve an angry Jin-Woo might get adapted. Based on the manhwa, the first one happens duringthe Ahjin Guild story arcand the second one takes place in the middle of the International Guild Conference arc. Both of these incidents put Jin-Woo’s loved ones in danger, so fans can expect to see his rage moments brought to life.

Guroktaru Trembles When Jin-Woo Gets Mad

The Foolish Dungeon Boss

For context, Guroktaru (also translated as Groctar) is a powerful dungeon boss, known as the leader or the chieftain of the Great Orc Warriors. Along with his tribe, heemerges from the dungeon breakthat erupts in one of the classrooms in Sung Jin-Ah’s school. While the great orcs are successful in killing several students, their plans to turn the school into one of their domains are doomed to fail.

As soon as the great orcs targetJin-Woo’s sister, Jin-Ah, their fate is sealed. Although there are three high orc warriors hiding in Jin-Ah’s shadows to protect her, the overwhelming number of enemies puts Jin-Ah in grave danger. However, before Guroktaru can kill her, Jin-Woo arrives, and his presence alone sends shivers to the great orcs. Upon seeing the strangulation marks on his sister’s face, the darkness within Jin-Woo grows, making Guroktaru tremble in fear.

When Jin-Woo Loses His Cool, Hwang Dong-Soo Loses His Life

The Greedy S-Rank Hunter’s Failed Attempt at Revenge

After Jin-Woo slowly but painfully tortured Guroktaru for causing pain and trauma to his sister, it would be Hwang Dong-Soo’s turn to receive his wrath. Fans have known Hwang Dong-Soo since season 1, as he was theS-rank hunter who defected from Koreaand chose America as his new home, in addition to being Hwang Dong-Suk’s brother. He has been plotting to kill Jin-Woo since then, but his plans don’t amount to anything.

While Guroktaru made the fatal mistake of targeting Jin-Woo’s sister, Hwang Dong-Suk committed a similar offense by involving Yoo Jin-Ho in his evil plot. He kidnaps Jin-Ho in the middle of the conference to lure Jin-Woo out and learn the truth about the death of his brother. But whenJin-Woo sees Jin-Ho’s battered and torturedstate, his mood drastically changes. He snaps at Hwang Dong-Suk and his fellow conspirators, giving them the punishment they deserve.

“Whether or not I bury those guys inside a dungeon is my choice, got it?"—Hwang Dong-Soo

In the end, both Guroktaru and Hwang Dong-Suk lost their lives fighting against an angry Sung Jin-Woo, despite the skills and abilities they hold. The hardest lesson they had to learn too late was simple but impactful: avoid messing with Jin-Woo, especially not his loved ones. Regardless of whether Jin-Woo’s foe is a magical beast or a hunter, no one is immune from his wrath. Once that line is crossed, death comes to them.

For now, there’s a good chance that fans will get to see these intense rage moments adapted inSolo Levelingseason 3, unless there are major adjustments or changes. Based on the progression of the manhwa, season 3 would more or less include these scenes, giving fans even more reason to look forward to what’s coming next.
