Fresh from his solo Jeju Island clear, he is off to a new but difficult journey that will certainly please the many fans around the world. However, there are some scenes in the manhwa that did not make the cut in the anime adaptation, one of which is a crucial Jin-Woo moment most fans can’t stop talking about.
It’s not uncommon for an anime adaptation likeSolo Levelingto cut scenes from the source material. There’s always a reason behind these decisions, considering the limited run time of an anime episode. Instead of cramming everything into a single episode, they would rather leave scenes to drive the plot forward. This might be one of the reasons why Solo Leveling chose to cut one of Jin-Woo’s crucial moments.
Solo Leveling Skips a Crucial Jin-Woo Moment
The Night Before the Fourth Jeju Island Raid
Solo Levelingseason 2 received massive praise from the anime community due to its flawless animation from one episode to another.Jin-Woo’s intense fight with the Ant Kingcontinues to impress fans, owing to a job well done by A-1 Pictures. However, just like any other anime adapted from a manga or a manhwa,Solo Levelingalso left out some crucial moments for some reason.
One of these crucial moments happens the night beforethe fourth Jeju Island raidbegins in theSolo Levelingmanhwa. The scene involves Sung Jin-Woo, a red high-orc, a foolish evil man, and a helpless woman. While some readers found this crucial Jin-Woo moment random, others were terrified by the strongest hunter’s unexpected behavior. Most likely, it had something to do with his choice to skip the fourth raid, influencing his mood.
I’m just curious, why are you doing this?—Jin-Woo to the Foolish Man
This crucial Jin-Woo moment happened inSolo Levelingchapter 94, shortly after Jin-Ho passed on a foreigner’s calling card to his hyung. Jin-Woo sensed danger nearby, and he immediatelyswitched positions with his shadow via Shadow Exchange. There, he discovered a foolish man with an urge to torture a weak woman for fun in a dark-lit alley. He asked the man’s reason for doing such a thing, only to receive a nasty response to which he said he could also relate.
The situation immediately escalated with the foolish man attacking thestrongest hunter in Korea. Naturally, Jin-Woo effortlessly injured the man before threatening him even further. He told the man to surrender himself before midnight or else his red orc shadow would kill him. Shortly after that, he disappeared, leaving the foolish man shivering in fear.
Other Jin-Woo Moments That Did Not Make the Anime Cut
Apart from this Jin-Woo moment, there are some scenes in the manhwa that are worth mentioning. From his silly moments with his shadows, as well as his funny expressionswhile interacting with Jin-Ho, his character was more fleshed out in the manhwa than in the anime.
Without spoiling too much, there’s a particular scene in the Solo Leveling manhwa that should have been adapted in Season 1 or 2. It was during Jin-Woo’s rare trip to the bank to get a debit card. Funny, after the teller saw the amount of money Jin-Woo had, she offered him an investment opportunity, which he immediately declined. That said, anime-only fans should consider reading the manhwa and even the novels whilewaiting forSolo Levelingseason 3to better find out about this quirky side of Jin-Woo.

However, fans should also limit their expectations, considering the time and amount of work animators do to deliver a single episode.

IfSolo Levelingseason 3 fails toadapt some of Jin-Woo’s scenesfrom the manhwa, there’s always a possibility producers could release special or bonus episodes in the future.
