There are five Hunters who obtainedthis distinction after beating Kamish, a legendary magical beast that slaughtered hundreds of Hunters. The National Level Hunters are insanely powerful, but there are some individuals who can beat them in a fight. With that in mind, here are the Solo Leveling characters who are stronger than National Level Hunters.
8The Rulers
They Were Able To Kill The Absolute Being
The Rulers are the arch-nemesis of the Monarchs. They were created by the Absolute Being, and they are easilyamong the strongest creatures in Solo Leveling.The Rulers possess a unique skill called the Ruler’s Authority, which is potent enough to affect the Monarchs.
The Rulers have shared their powers with many characters throughout the story, and all of them have gone on to achieve incredible feats. In combat, the Rulers' strength is far superior to the National Level Hunters, which is hardly surprising since they lent the humans their powers.
7Go Gunhee
He Was A Ruler’s Vessel
Go Gunhee was the chairman of the Korean Hunters Association. For the majority of the story, he was considered an old man who had hung up his boots a long time ago, but his battle with Silad proved everyone wrong.
He was a Ruler’s vessel, meaning he had access to all kinds of powerful abilities. Unfortunately, Go Gunhee couldn’t utilize these abilities due to old age. However, it doesn’t change the fact that he would have wiped the floor with National Level Hunters.
6Sung Jinwoo
Arguably The Strongest Character In Solo Leveling
Sung Jinwoo is the mainprotagonist of Solo Leveling andeasily one of the strongest characters in the series. In the beginning, he was an E-rank Hunter who had trouble beating the weakest enemies. However, the Double Dungeon incident changed him forever.
Sung Jinwoo became a person with unlimited potential, meaning he continued to grow as long as he beat his opponent. By the time Sung Jinwoo entered the Double Dungeon again, he was way above the level of a National Level Hunter. In fact, he was able to thrash Thomas Andre in a duel almost effortlessly.
5Rakan
Rakan was the Monarch of Fangs and one of the main villains in Solo Leveling. He was an extremely ruthless individual who liked to fight. Rakan showed off his power in the fight against Thomas Andre, the number one Hunter in the world.
Rakan toyed with Thomas Andre, and the latter was completely overwhelmed. The king of beasts had the ability to regenerate from any injury almost instantly. He was also able to use telekinesis to move things around effortlessly.
4Absolute Being
Was Responsible For Creating Monarchs And Rulers
The Absolute Being was the creatorof the Rulers and Monarchs. He was a sadist who enjoyed using his creations for his entertainment. The Absolute Being had the ability to create things from nothing.
Since he was able to make such powerful beings, it’s safe to say that he was on the same level as them. The Absolute Being was only killed because of his carefree attitude and poor judgment. If he had concealed his emotions in a better way, the Rulers would have never rebelled and killed him in a grotesque manner.
3Sillad
Was Able To Overpower Jinwoo
Sillad was the Frost Monarch who debuted after the Jeju Island raid was over. He was a dangerous individual capable of taking down the strongest Hunters without any problems. Even Sung Jinwoo was unable to beat him in combat.
Sillad’s physical abilities were on a completely different level from S-rank Hunters. In fact, he could easily annihilate armies with his powers. Sillad could create ice monsters and send them to vanquish his foes. Additionally, he could utilize the power to create weapons and bring forth ice storms. Sillad was also able to create gates that led to other worlds.
2Sung Il-Hwan
He Fought Against Two Monarchs
Sung Il-Hwan was an S-rank Hunter, but the absence of a proper ranking system meant that he never got the opportunity to enjoy the same privileges as other Hunters of the same rank. Unfortunately, things went south, and he ended up being trapped inside a dungeon. Eventually, the Rulers offered him a shot at survival, and he took them up on their offer.
Sung Il-Hwan had enough strength to fight against two Monarchs at the same time, a feat that is nearly impossible to match. He held them off for just enoughtime to allow Sung Jinwoo to returnand beat them. Considering how Thomas Andre was unable to beat one Monarch, it’s safe to say that Sung Il-Hwan would have no problem dispatching other National Level Hunters.
1Beru
One Of The Most Powerful Shadows
Beru was the Ant King and the mainantagonist of the Jeju Island arc. Moments after being born, Beru annihilated several S-rank Hunters with ease. The only person who successfully stopped him was Jinwoo, after which he became a Shadow.
Like Jinwoo’s other Shadows, Beru can also level up and grow stronger. In the later arcs, Beru was able to hold his own against a Monarch, so a National Level Hunter wouldn’t be a problem for him.
