Although currently unnamed, the cards will be based on Japan’s Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia sets, which are due to arrive on August 1. Marking a departure from theScarlet & Violet series ofPokemon TCGcards, the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia sets will run under the series name Pokemon Card Game MEGA.

The warning comes just a few months after The Pokemon Company revealed itsplans to increase production of futurePokemon TCGreleasesafter players had their pre-orders of Destined Rivals canceled due to high demand. Despite the word of caution, organizers were told that future events may not be affected by similar shortages.
