Summary
TVGS has released a brand-new major update for its hit title,Schedule 1, bringing a host of important additions and changes to the game. The v.0.3.6 update forSchedule 1has taken a little longer than TVGS anticipated, but it’s now out for all players to enjoy.
Despite bursting onto the scene from solo developer TVGS (Tyler), indie titleSchedule 1has proven to be one of the best-selling video games of 2025 so far. It’s an impressive achievement and a testament to its addictive gameplay loop that it has achieved this feat while still being in Early Access.Schedule 1recently passed the eight million sales milestone, and was even the best-selling game on Steam throughout the entirety of April. Given the plan is for the game to remain in Early Access for two years,Schedule 1should continue to get even better and sell tons more copies.
TVGS released the patch notes forSchedule 1’s v0.3.6 update onSteam, and there are some big additions. The most notable is thatSchedule 1employeeswill now use lockers instead of beds. Beds previously took up too much room in each property, and it could become quite frustrating for players to build an efficient setup. Beds will still be assigned to workers in existing saves for compatibility reasons, although players should use lockers going forward. Item slot filters have been added, allowing players to “set whitelists and blacklists on slots to tell employees which items should or shouldn’t go in a particular slot.”
That’s not all. Alongside a host of general bug fixes and improvements, employee property transfers have been added, which will let players move workers from one property to another without needing to fire and re-hire them. This significant quality-of-life change will save players plenty of time. ThisSchedule 1update has been in open betafor a week, but TVGS has deemed it stable enough to go live on the main branch.
Schedule 1has an undoubtedly exciting future ahead. Given the fact that the game is already a mammoth financial success, TVGS now has the freedom to take its time and make the exact game it wants to make, with plenty of scope for more content going forward. Thefull release timeline forSchedule 1indicates that it will still be in Early Access for at least two years, but it’s plenty of fun to play even at this point in development.
