Since the show often takes inspiration from the books, the image indicates that Season 4 could follow the events of this particular novel, bringing Reacher to the bustling streets of New York for his next dangerous mission.
Released in May 2009 in the US,the novel begins with Reacher taking a New York City subway ride at 2 AM. While riding the subway late at night, Reacher spots a woman who seems out of place. She looks nervous and exhibits several signs that experts say might indicate someone is planning a suicide attack. Trusting his instincts, Reacher walks over and tries to calmly talk to her, hoping to help or prevent something bad from happening.
