When theRazer Iskur V2 Gaming Chairlaunched in early 2024, it instantly became a top-tier option that provided both comfort and healthy ergonomic support. The chair, still readily available, is loaded with great features. The downside? It’s typically priced at around $650.
Razerthen went to work on building another iteration of its flagship ergonomic gaming chair. The company’s goal was to build something comparable to the Iskur V2 that could be placed at a more approachable price point. In January 2025,Razer revealed the Iskur V2 X. It’s a chair that mimics the V2’s desire to combine healthy posture and comfort while being dramatically easier on your finances.
Assembling the Razer Iskur V2 X
An impressively simple process.
When the Razer Iskur V2 X arrived, the first thing I was impressed with was how much care went into the product’s packaging. Razer goes above and beyond to ensure that no matter how mishandled your shipment may be, the contents of your box will go unscathed. They even think far enough ahead to include a pair of knit gloves to use if you feel like screwing in some bolts may be a little tough on your hands.
The box itself was pretty heavy when delivered. I was able to maneuver it around solo, but it’s recommended that you find someone to help you carry it to its assembly zone. As you start to unpack the box, Razer suggests that you have someone help you out with that process, too. I didn’t, and I managed fine on my own, but there were times when things would have been a tad bit easier with some help. On a (hilarious) side note, the company’s packaging recommends you don’t do the following after the chair is finished:
The assembly itself was simple and straightforward. It took me probably a little over half an hour to get the chair put together (it would have been shorter if I weren’t watching TV). The instructions were easy to follow, all the parts were easy to find, and everything seamlessly went together as portrayed. The Razer Iskur V2 X assembly process was one of the least frustrating I’ve experienced. Kudos to them.
How Does the Razer Iskur V2 X Feel?
Ergonomics 101.
The Iskur line prides itself on being a top-tier healthy gaming chair option. There, it thrives. The second you sit in the Iskur V2 X, you can feel the support that’s being promoted. Primarily because the chair’s structure incorporates an integrated lumbar curve that’s designed to mimic your spine.
In my dozens of hours trying out the Iskur V2 X, back pain was never a thing thanks to its superior ergonomics.
As someone who occasionally struggles with back pain, I can personally attest to the aid this feature gives. If you typically game from the couch or from a chair that isn’t specifically focused on protecting your back, you’ll eventually feel fatigue from inadequate posture. In my dozens of hours trying out the V2 X, back pain was never a thing thanks to its superior ergonomics.
The Iskur V2 line also incorporates a widened seat base that opens up to 21.4 inches at the knees. There are also reduced flanges that give you more maneuverability with your lower limbs during sitting. The V2 X also touts high-density foam cushions that are aimed to be both comfortable and supportive. The cushioning is a bit stiff, but with support being the primary focus, Razer understood the assignment. The chair is also designed with optimized pressure distribution that helps to relieve stress on your butt from sitting too long. And with a recline angle of 152 degrees, you can even lie back andwatch your favorite movieswhile still feeling comfortable and relaxed.
What’s the Difference Between the Razer Iskur V2 and the Razer Iskur V2 X?
About $350 and a lot of features.
The problems with the Razer Iskur V2 X come into play when you compare it to its pricier predecessor, the Razer Iskur V2. The X is inferior in a lot of ways, and unfortunately, it’s glaringly obvious. While the X is a solid gaming chair, it’s pretty bare bones.
The thing is - I prefer the fabric finish of the X over its more expensive alternative.
Starting with the armrests, the X is equipped with a 2D design that allows you to adjust height and inward/outward rotation. The V2 comes with 4D adjustments, which doubles its maneuverability. The V2 also comes with a memory foam head cushion that the X doesn’t include. And the seat’s lumbar curve is adjustable on the V2, which is a pretty significant feature. The V2 X’s lumbar curve is locked in place.
There’s also a large discrepancy in the exterior of the two chair versions. The Iskur V2 features EPU-grade synthetic leather. It’s designed to look and feel high-class, while also promising durability. The X, on the other hand, is comprised of a plush fabric finish. The thing is - I prefer the fabric finish of the X over its more expensive alternative. It has better breathability, and the style and stitching just have a more professional look.
How Does the Razer Iskur V2 X Look?
A fantastic-looking chair for either your home or office.
Speaking of looks, it’s an important aspect of the Iskur V2 X to consider. When you’re investing a substantial sum of money into something like a gaming chair, you better be happy with how it’s styled in addition to everything else. And I have to say, one of my favorite things about the Razer Iskur V2 X is just how sharp the gaming chair is.
I opted for the Razer Iskur V2 X in dark gray. Once I had it assembled, I was immediately struck by how clean the final product looked. The gray with black stitching is an excellent combination. And while I don’t mind Razer incorporating its green logo across its products, I appreciated the more subtle implementation of the black triple snake here on the V2 X.
Is the Razer Iskur V2 X Worth Buying?
The final verdict.
It may sound as though I’m being tough on the V2 X. After plenty of time with it, it’s no doubt an excellent ergonomically focused gaming chair. It’s just tough to appreciate all it does well when the Razer Iskur V2 exists. But money matters, and a $350 difference between the two chair models isn’t something you can simply ignore. The V2 X issignificantlycheaper than the Iskur V2. And the V2 X’s easier entry point is going to be important to plenty of shoppers out there.
The Razer Iskur V2 X has a lot going for it. It’s one of the sharpest gaming chairs out there. It allows players with lower back issues to enjoy their gaming time with the lumbar support they need to be comfortable. Its widened base accommodates larger gamers and ensures leg mobility during use. Its cushion is designed to ease pressure points along her butt and hips. And it has a price point that makes it far easier to pull the trigger on that its big brother.
If you’re searching for a chair that has your health in mind, the Razer Iskur V2 X is one of the best ergonomic gaming chairs you’ll find.
