Starting June 7 and 8, during the 2025 Pokemon Trainers Cup tournament in South Korea,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill distribute a Mystery Gift code that trainers can redeem for a Porygon2. The Porygon2 that will be freely distributed toPokemon Scarlet and Violettrainers is modeled after the one used by Juyoung Hong, the 2024 Pokemon Trainers Cup Champion.
Known as the Virtual Pokemon, Porygon2 first appeared inPokemon Gold and Silver. Porygon2 evolves from Porygon via trading while holding the Up-Grade item. Two generations later, Porygon2 received a new evolution in Porygon-Z, which also required trading while holding an item. Porygon2 is noted for its blue and pink design and versatile move set, including attacks like Trick Room, Thunder Wave, and Ice Beam. InPokemon Scarlet and Violet,Porygon2 can infrequently be foundin Five-Star and Six-Star Tera Raid dens throughout the Terarium. However, this method requires access to the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC.
However,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players looking to add Porygon2 to their growing collections will soon have an easy opportunity to do that.As reported by ComicBook,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill start distributing a Mystery Gift code for Porygon2 during the 2025 Pokemon Trainers Cup in South Korea, scheduled for June 7 and 8. This particular Porygon2 is modeled after one used by the 2024 Pokemon Trainers Cup Champion, Juyoung Hong. Thisspecial Porygon2 will hold an Evioliteand come with the moves Trick Room, Ice Beam, Tera Blast, and Recover. Ergo, Hong’s Porygon2 can be utilized in competitive battles right out of the box. It is currently unknown what the code for Porygon2 is, soPokemon Scarlet and Violettrainers must wait until the finals of the Trainers Cup.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Porygon2 Mystery Gift Details
Once the code is released, players can access the Mystery Gift feature by connecting to the Internet and selecting Poke Portal from the main menu. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to receive Mystery Gifts. Two weeks later,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers attending the 2025 Pokemon Japan Championships in Yokohama will have a chance toadd a special Amoonguss to their collections. However, Amoonguss will likely receive a Mystery Gift distribution at a later date despite the initial exclusivity window.
In the meantime,Pokemon Scarlet and Violettrainers have until July 31 to obtain a Rillaboomvia the code “R1LLAB00M2024TW” in the Mystery Gift menu. Only time will tell how longPokemontrainers will have to participate in the upcoming Porygon2 distribution event.
