2025 will see the return of the popularPokemon GOFest, an annual event held during the summer that gathers trainers in person, and this year the celebrations will take place in Osaka, Japan, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, and Paris, France. Furthermore,Pokemon GOannounced Legendary Giants will be returningto the mobile game, ahead of GO Fest 2025’s arrival, and they will be part of the Ancients Recovered event hosted between June 23 and 27.

Announced on social media,Pokemon GOunveiled the new Community Campsites feature that’s coming to the mobile game, and this addition will join the celebrations that take place onJune 21 forPokemon GOCommunity Day, starring the Dragon-type creature, Jangmo-o. Community Campsites will offer additional PokeStops and Gyms to trainers, created by a Community Ambassador and designed to bring local groups together. As part of theCommunity Ambassador Program, a system that supports local, in-personPokemon GOsocial networks, Campsites can be established through said ambassadors, and any trainer can apply to be one if they are community-focused players. Community Ambassadors also receive special perks, including item codes, feedback, and ongoing support.

While trainers keep up to date withPokemon GO’s Raid schedule for June, the community also has divisive thoughts regarding the new campsites. Many regarded the feature as a cool addition, while others called the devs out for forcing them to become extroverts. Several trainers commented on the difficulty of becoming a Community Ambassador, noting they were still waiting to get approved.

Outside of the mobile game,Pokemonfans are circling July in their calendars. The Pokemon Company recently announced that a new Pokemon Presents showcase would be held next month, and a majority of fans are expecting more gameplay footage from Nintendo’s upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-Agame to be shown. Additionally, trainers are keeping their fingers crossed for a Generation 10 roster reveal during the presentation.
