Summary
APokemonfan has recently devised an amazing artwork, imagining past Paradox forms for Nidoking and Nidoqueen. ThePokemoncommunity has many talented artists, and while reimagining critters as Mega Evolutions became quite popular recently due to the concept’s presence in the upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-A, many fans still love to come up with creative Paradox forms.
The Poison/Ground-type Nidoking and Nidoqueen were officially introduced inthe first generation ofPokemongamesas the final evolutions of Nidoran. The female and male versions of Nidoran were the only Pokemon in Gen 1 to have different forms and evolutions for each sex, making them pretty unique critters. Nidoran♀ evolves into Nidorina by Level 16 or higher, and then into Nidoqueen when exposed to a Moon Stone. Similarly, Nidoran♂ evolved into Nidorino and then Nidoking following the same process.
APokemonfan called FallinDevast recently shared past Paradox forms for Nidoking and Nidoqueen with the community, reinterpreting these monsters as dinosaur-like critters with the Poison/Dragon type. Named Horned Crown, the Nidoking version retained its classic purple colors, but looked like a quadruped resembling a triceratops with multiple spikes on its back. The Paradox Nidoqueen, known as Copious Auricle, followed a similar design, but had multiple ears on its back instead of spikes. Overall, the designs were praised by thePokemoncommunity, which particularly loved Nidoqueen’s Paradox version.
Pokemon Fan’s Past Paradox Form of Nidoking and Nidoqueen
This is not the only amazing artwork featuring these popular Gen 1 creatures or their previous forms. Last year, for example, onePokemonfan created a picture with shiny Nidoking and Nidoran, which were depicted sitting on a cliff near the sea. At the time, the fan revealed they made the design specially for their daughter, and it looked incredible.
Paradox forms have been very popular since the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which introduced these variants to the franchise. Some time ago, another prolificfan devised five new exciting Paradox forms for different Pokemon. The gallery included Rowlet, Gengar, Lechonk, Trapinch, and Skorupi, which were renamed Iron Orb, Ghoulish Terror, Iron Bank, Iron Jaws, and Iron Needle respectively, .
Yet another noteworthy artwork that was shared with the community was apast Paradox version of Grovyle. This unique form followed the tradition of reimagining critters as prehistoric creatures, as the monster was reimagined as Old Wing, a pterodactyl-like bird with brown and red feathers as well as a small beak. Hopefully, other artists will continue to imagine and share unique takes on Paradox creatures, delighting the community.
