Palia’s Elderwood map is full of all kinds of hidden nooks and crannies to explore, with some leading to exciting discoverable items like treasure chests. Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure is a Discovery Quest added inPalia’s Radiance Rising updatethat takes you on a treasure hunt following three mysterious Pirate Maps belonging to the famous titular pirate. However, finding each X marks the spot location can be tricky, as it involves deciphering and matching them up withPalia’s expansive Elderwood map to find each one.

How To Start Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure in Palia
To start Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure quest inPalia,you must first complete Adventure on the Horizon, the first quest in Radiance Rising’s Prismbeard’s Treasure questline. At the end of Adventure on the Horizon, you get the firstPirate Map, and you also immediately unlock Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure Discovery Quest.
To get started in Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure and to track your progress, you can pin the quest to make it your active pursuit by using the pin icon within the Discovery Quest tab in the main Quest menu.
If you need to refer back to the treasure map, you can open it from your Quest Pouch.
How To Find Where X Marks The Spot - Location 1
To find the firstX marks the spot locationinPalia, you need to match up Prismbeard’s treasure map withPalia’s Elderwood mapto find the buried treasure spot by looking for similarities between the two maps, such as path shapes. To help speed things along, you can find the first X marks the spot location insideRed Blossom Caveatpoint D-7, not far from the Elderwood’s Central Stables fast-travel point, as pictured above.
You’ll know if you’re in the right place by thepainting of Prismbeard on the walland themound of dirt on the groundin front of it, which you need to dig upusing the hoe. As shown in the video below, you’ll get the nextPirate Mapafter digging up the first X marks the spot location:

The second X marks the spot is a bit trickier to find, as you’ll need to either jump, climb, oruse the gliderto reach it atJeunesse Pass. Head southeast past the Deep Woods until you reachpoint I-6on the map, which takes you neara cliff-lined streamnot far from a waterfall. Standing near the wooden beam, you can jump or use the glider to reach asmall cave hidden inside the cliff below, as shown in the video here:
Once inside, you’ll find the next X marks the spot to dig up with the hoe near another Prismbeard painting like before, giving you the third and final Pirate Map to follow.
X Marks the Spot Location 3
The final X marks the spot location is a bit easier to find atpoint G-3atMitana Grove, as pictured above. You can either head there on foot orfast-travel to the Mitana Grove Stablesto shorten the journey. Once there, you can find the final Prismbeard paintingon a cliff overlooking the riverwith the dig spot in front of it to find aRiddle, as shown in the video below. If you’re struggling to find it, look out for Auni and Nai’o, who are standing opposite and looking in the same direction as the X marks the spot location.
Return To The Hidden Cave Puzzle and Equip the Spyglass
For the final part of Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure and as revealed in Prismbeard’s Riddle, you must return to where you solved thesliding puzzleinside the Hidden Cavein Adventure on the Horizon, which you can find atpoint D-8on the map. Inside the Hidden Cave, go back inside the room with the sliding puzzle, which you may now realize is likely a portrait of Prismbeard. On entering the room, choose the dialogue option that says’A fitting reward for Prismbeard’s demise,‘causing amysterious chestto appear.
Open the chest to getthe Pirate’s Spyglass, thenspeak to Auniabout it, who suggests that equipping the Spyglass could reveal more.Equipping the Pirate Spyglassusing theQuest Gear iconin your inventory then causes a statue of Prismbeard to spawn in front of the puzzle.
Interact with the Prismbeard statueto read another riddle, thenspeak to Aunito discuss what’s next, completing the Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure quest.

Chatting with Auni not only completes Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure and increases your friendship with Auni and Nai’o, but you also getPrismbeard’s Mapas a reward. It also unlocks the next part of the questline calledThe True Treasure, where it seems there is more to the story.
