Overwatch 2has releasedthe hero ban rates on different platforms and servers. Among PC players across all ranks, Sombra was banned 85% of the time, confirming her status as one of theOverwatch 2heroes most hatedby the community. Zarya, often pointed to as a strong pick, has a 59% ban rate, while Ana, considered one of the best supports in the game, got banned just over 20% of the time. Among console players across all ranks, Sombra and Zarya were the most banned heroes of their roles, with rates of 93% and 57%, respectively. Mercy got a 20% ban rate, the biggest among the support heroes.

The blog post also shows that Freja,Overwatch 2’s new character, has a ban rate of almost 40% among PC players, while the rate among console players is below 10%. Blizzard also shared the rates for different regions, with Freja, D.Va, and Ana appearing as the most banned heroes by players in the Americas, Europe, and Korea at Master rank or higher. Curiously, Sombra appears in the top five most banned DPS on all three servers, while Mercy is outside the top three most banned supports in Korea.
