Concerned Characters

Roger, Rocks, Garp, Whitebeard, Garling

Ever since its first mention within the series, fans have beenconvinced that the God Valley Incidentwas among the most important events in history, despite very little being known about it. The exact details of it are currently a mystery, but what is known is that the biggest players of the time all converged on the titular island and underwent a massive battle that had huge implications for the world.

Finally! Do you have any idea how I’ve felt this past year?

The event and many of its characters are shrouded in mystery, none more so than the captain of the most powerful pirate crew of all time, Rocks D. Xebec. Rocks as a character has great implications for much of the world as it exists today, as well as connections to some of the most important figures. He was known as Roger’s first and greatest rival and was so powerful that the would-be Pirate King had to team up with his foe, Monkey D. Garp, to take him down. Most fans believe that with Scopper being on Elbaf, the truth of this incident will finally be revealed.

Loki, King Harald, Hajrudin, Rocks

In Chapter 1130 ofOne Piece, the most jaw-dropping character introduction in the series was made withthe Accursed Prince of Elbaf, Loki. Just before he was finally shown, Oda revealed the notoriety his name carried, where he was spoken about in hushed tones as the greatest threat within Elbaf who mutinied against his father and killed him. In doing so, he stole the legendary Devil Fruit of his homeland, allowing him to terrorize the island and its inhabitants even more before setting his sights on the outside world.

I am the Sun God who will bring about the end of the world!

However, the subsequent chapters proved that this may have been a Red Herring, and that the Giants of Elbaf were merely made to believe this. Loki was shown as a much more sympathetic character, while his father, who was considered to be a just and kind king, may have been much more sinister in reality. Upon saying that he likely wasn’t the one to kill his father, fans were convinced that there is much more to his story than has been stated, and that before the Elbaf arc is over, the truth regarding this nuanced character will be revealed.

Gunko, Brook

Ever since her first appearance in Chapter 1134 of the manga, Gunko has been an enigma to fans. Among her contemporaries, she wasthe most like a Celestial Dragonout of them all in her personality, since she was cold, ruthless, and believed in the supremacy of her group. However, the most notable thing regarding her was that, despite her attitude, she was the only one who didn’t have the title of ‘Saint’ in her name.

Hmm… that girl… no, it can’t be…

This caused fans to theorize about the reality of her being a Gods' Knight, which may have been confirmed in Chapter 1149, where a brief showing of her backstory was made due to her relationship with Brook. The Elbaf arc will almost assuredly go into the details of her ascension to a Gods' Knight and how she knew Brook from her childhood, which was something that fans had guessed from her first appearance.

Joyboy, Imu

Most fans had already guessed the importance of the Elbaf arcwith regard to the Void Centuryand the true history of the world. The main reason for this is the Giants themselves, since this race lives to be hundreds of years old on average, which means that their history and culture are way more recent and directly tied to the Ancient Kingdom, making this the perfect place to tell the story of Joyboy.

The great and mighty of the day always fear Nika’s arrival.

Since Elbaf was also where the First and Second Worlds were mentioned, details aboutOne Piecethat were never spoken about beforehand, many feel as if this is the final arc where fans will be kept in the dark about this mysterious time, especially considering all the history that the Owl Library has. Though things are looking bleak at the current moment, the closing chapters may finally reveal everything.
