Zoro’s Not Only Adept With The Sword, But Also Has Great Haki
Zoro is one of the very first charactersto appear in theOne Pieceseries, making his debut all the way back in the very first arc, Romance Dawn. Zoro was the first to be recruited by Luffy, and has since stood with the Straw Hat Pirates.
Ever since then, Zoro has tremendously grown in strength, with many considering him the strongest in the crew right behind Luffy.
Zoro is definitely a powerful swordsman, and has gone through quite a few swords, with his best one at the moment being Enma, the cursed sword of Oden.
Swords aside, Zoro has, after the timeskip,also learned to use Haki. While Zoro’s Observation is nothing to write home about, he does have some amazing Armament Haki. In Wano, it was even revealed that Zoro can actually use Conqueror’s Haki.
Many fans expected that from the right wing of the future Pirate King, but the reveal was definitely a surprise still.
Zoro is only going to grow from here onwards, and perhaps even receive a significant power-up during the current Elbaf arc.
Gaban Confirms Zoro has Conqueror’s Haki
Zoro Realizes He Has Conqueror’s Haki For The First Time
While fans have known for a while thatZoro has Conqueror’s Haki since Wano, this is the first time that Zoro realizes he has this power.
Zoro was first told that he had Conqueror’s Haki by none other than Kaido, but back then, he didn’t understand what he meant.
Now in Elbaf, after having faced off against Gaban, Zoro is finally told about his Conqueror’s Haki. So far, however, Zoro can’t really control this power, and can only really utilize it through Enma, which draws his Haki out. Elbaf will be where Zoro learns to control this power. After all, it was just confirmed that the way to take down characters with immortality such as the Holy Knights, the Five Elders, or Imu, is to use an advanced form of Conqueror’s Haki — something Zoro is nowhere near achieving.
The One Piece manga is on break. The next One Piece chapter, One Piece Chapter 1152 will be out later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on June 25.
