Story Arc

Wano

The God Valley Incident was first mentioned in the Wano arc, where it was revealed that there was much more mysteryduring the time of Gol D. Rogerthan fans had previously thought. Although the Golden Age of Piracy began after Roger uttered his final words atop his execution platform, the brief showings of the God Valley Incident prove that pirates were still quite common in the world, with the mysterious Rocks Pirates being the strongest of them all.

Although the finer details of what went down on this island remain a blur, the basics have been revealed. Essentially, the Celestial Dragons once went to Hachinosu and stole the secret treasure of the island, the nature of which still hasn’t been revealed. Upon stealing it, they brought it onto God Valley to be distributed as one of the prizes to be given to the winner of the Native Hunting Competition, prompting the Rocks Pirates to launch an invasion of the island to recover their lost treasure.

You underestimate them too much! “That” is considered to be the treasure of Pirate Island. Of course they would come to take it back!

Hearing that his greatest rival was headed to this location, Gol D. Roger and his entire crew went as well, since it is implied thatRoger and Rocks had a score to settle. Upon hearing that Roger was going, Vice Admiral Garp saw this as the perfect opportunity to finally bring the world’s most famous pirate to justice, prompting his arrival on the island as well. What follows next is still left vague, but the outcome has been revealed.

It’s hinted that there was a massive battle between the Roger Pirates, Rocks Pirates, Gods' Knights, and the Marines, each fighting for their own goals, though the Marines were called in to support the Celestial Dragons, which meant that they were allied with one another. However, the rest of it was a massive battle royale between the strongest characters in the world, which eventually led to the ultimate battle between Rocks, Roger, and Garp, where the latter two temporarily put aside their rivalry to defeat the greatest pirate of their time.

The outcome of what happened on God Valley was pure destruction, as the entire island was wiped from the face of the Earth following the events of the incident, which raises many questions since it seems like an overwhelming victory for the World Government. This is also whereRocks D. Xebec met his endafter being defeated by Roger and Garp, though his inevitable fate has never been given a concrete answer. Despite being the most powerful pirate crew of all time, the Rocks Pirates eventually disbanded after the God Valley Incident.

There are far too many mysteries and questions left unanswered about what exactly transpired here and why it did, but what is known is that the most important players in the world, who were all of a relative level of strength, were present here and fought. Only time will tell what actually transpired on God Valley, but once Oda does reveal the details, they are sure to change everything that fans knew about the series.

The Most Important Characters Who Were At God Valley

The Strongest And Most Important Characters InOne Piece

As stated previously, the characters involved in the God Valley Incident were the most powerful and important characters of the age. Chief among them was Rocks D. Xebec, known as perhaps the greatest pirate of all time after Joyboy himself, who was so powerful that he could only be defeated through an uneasy alliance between two of the otherstrongest characters in the world; Roger and Garp. Within this same tier of strength was Rocks' second-in-command, Whitebeard, who many fans speculate fought Garling, who is likely also just as strong.

Though the others weren’t as powerful as these five at the time, they would go on to become some of the greatest characters inOne Piece, with some even being on a relative level. Chief among these are Kaido and Big Mom, who would later go on to become Emperors of the Sea and some of the strongest characters in history. Because of their relatively low standing compared to Rocks, Roger, Garp, Whitebeard, and Garling, they likely fought Rayleigh and Scopper, who are legends in their own right and only a little weaker than their captain.
