6Yami Yami no Mi
It Gave Blackbeard Everything
The Yami Yami no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that was initially found by Thatch, who planned to consume it. Unbeknownst to him,Blackbeard had been looking for the Devil Fruitfor years, and he wasn’t ready for it to slip through his fingers. So, he committed the biggest sin on Whitebeard’s ship and killed Thatch.
Eventually, Blackbeard took the Yami Yami no Mi and left the crew. Ever since Blackbeard consumed the Devil Fruit, his entire life has changed. Without the Yami Yami no Mi, Blackbeard wouldn’t have captured Ace, meaning the Paramount War would have never happened. The Yami Yami no Mi also allowed Blackbeard to steal Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit. Furthermore, Blackbeard wouldn’t have beaten characters like Hancock or Bonney.

The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is arguably the strongest and most influential Devil Fruit in One Piece. Oda originally introduced it as the Gomu Gomu no Mi, making it seem like an ordinary Devil Fruit, but the truth was finally revealed in Wano.It is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruitthat allows the user to tap into the power of the Sun God. The World Government was afraid of the Devil Fruit and actively tried to seize it, but it kept getting away.
Luffy would never have achieved so much success without the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. He would have never beaten so many opponents, and most importantly, he would have never been able to fulfill the age-old prophecy. There are still some secrets associated with Nika, and the Devil Fruit’s importance will go up when they are revealed.
4Nikyu Nikyu no Mi
Kuma Rescued Many Important Characters With Its Power
The impact of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi is understated. This Paramecia-type Devil Fruit was eaten by Bartholomew Kuma in God Valley, where it was kept as one of the prizes for winning the Native Hunting Competition. Normally, it would have been impossible for Kuma to eat it, but theattack of the Rocks Pirates made it happen.
After consuming the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, Kuma saved 500 innocent people who were sentenced to die. He then left for Sorbet Kingdom, where he helped old people with their health problems. Without his Devil Fruit, Kuma wouldn’t have been able to save the Straw Hats in Sabaody Archipelago, meaning the story would have ended there. Keeping all this in mind, it’s easy to see how Nikyu Nikyu no Mi changed the story.
3Uo Uo Mi, Model: Seiryu
It Helped Kaido Grow Stronger
Like the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, the Uo Uo no Mi was also put up as a prize for the winner of the Celestial Dragons' Hunting Competition in God Valley. The nobles wereexpecting one of the Holy Knights to claim the prize, but that never came to pass because of the Rocks Pirates. During the chaos, Big Mom stole the Uo Uo no Mi from Ivankov and later gave it to Kaido.
The Devil Fruit allowed Kaido to transform into an Azure Dragon at will. With the help of his Devil Fruit, Kaido grew stronger and made a name for himself. If he hadn’t eaten the Devil Fruit, Kaido would never have had the confidence to attack Wano, and he would also have lost to Gecko Moria.

The Hito Hito no Mi is a regular Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows an individual to transform into a human being. It is arguably the worst fruit for a human, but luckily it was eaten by Chopper.
It goes without saying that without the Hito Hito no Mi, there would be no Chopper, and without him, the Straw Hats wouldn’t have their doctor. As a whole, there aren’t many Devil Fruits that have affected the story as much as the Hito Hito no Mi.

Vegapunk wasthe smartest character in One Piece. He used to work as part of Du Feld’s MADS before joining the World Government. Vegapunk ate the Nomi Nomi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to remember everything that they have learned. Additionally, the user can process new information quickly, which would otherwise take years.
Without the Nomi Nomi no Mi, Vegapunk would certainly have been unable to create so many outstanding things. Needless to say, the lack of these inventions would have made the story a lot different. The Sabaody Archipelago arc, Marineford arc, and Egghead arc are just some of the story arcs that would have had completely different outcomes if Vegapunk’s Pacifista and Seraphim didn’t exist.
