The event was even streamed so that fans from across the world could join in the celebrations.

It’ll Be the Second One Piece Day Held This Year
The teaser visual featuring Luffy in his Elbaf Arc get-up closely matches last year’s visual of Luffy from the Egghead Arc. Elbaf is the second story arc in the Final Saga of Eiichiro Oda’sOne Piece, and it directly follows the aforementioned Egghead Arc. TheOne Piecemanga’s Elbaf Arc began with chapter 1126, which was released on June 02, 2025, in Japan. The upcomingOne PieceDay is actually the second event of its kind to be held in 2025, with the first-ever One Piece Day held outside of Japanhaving taken place in Dallas, Texas, in March. This event was held in celebration of theOne PieceTrading-Card Game that launched in 2022.
The sheer scale of the 2024 One Piece Day event can be chalked up to the fact that it was in celebration of the anime series’ quarter-century anniversary, which was also the manga’s 27th anniversary. Ticket sales for the upcoming One Piece Day go live on June 2, while the lottery for the first round of advance sales is already live. The event will start at 17:00 JST on August 8, running until 20:00, while the second day of festivities will start bright and early at 09:00 JST, running until 18:00.
