Those figures would be impressive in any context, but it’s worth noting that the new version came out on April 22, meaning it achieved this monumental feat in just over a week. Its day-one availability on Game Pass likely helped, asOblivion Remasteredis the biggest Xbox Game Pass debut of 2025so far.
Oblivion Remastered Has Helped Microsoft Dominate 2025 Sales Charts

According to Piscatella, it was April 2025’s best-selling game, despite its late-month release, beating out the likes of the current year-to-date leaderMonster Hunter Wildsand perennial mainstayMinecraft.Its spot as the third-best seller for the year as a whole has yet to budge, and all of this is coming asOblivion Remasteredplayers are calling for additional patchesamid frequent reports of bugs and quality-of-life issues.
Those jaw-dropping sales figures have helped solidify Microsoft’s place as a frontrunner among publishers for the year. In addition toOblivion Remastered, three other Microsoft-published games ranked in the top 10 bestsellers for April:Forza Horizon 5,Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, andCall of Duty: Black Ops 6.
