Summary

Oblivion Remasteredplayers have shared their frustration at one particular issue with a popular location that they’d like to see fixed in a future update. Fortunately, thisOblivion Remasteredissue would likely be an easy fix if Bethesda or Virtuos were to change it.

Oblivion Remasteredis largely very faithful to the 2006 original. It even keeps themistakes from the originalOblivion, which makes it feel like a real love letter to its predecessor. These small imperfections were always a big part of what madeOblivionso charming in the first place, and not all of them need to be fixed. That said,Oblivion Remasteredstill has the chance to make a few small quality-of-life changes to ensure it remains the definitive way to experience Bethesda’s RPG.

As spotted byTheGamer, a Reddit thread started by user False-Definition15 has sparked some discussion, after they noted that the fast-travel point toOblivion Remastered’s Frostcrag Spireis pretty far away from the player-owned house. The impressive spire is a popular choice for manyOblivion Remasteredplayers looking for a home, with its various magic features and its stunning views across all of Cyrodiil. Even still, it would be nice if it didn’t take so long to get there, even when fast-travelling.

Oblivion Remastered Players Aren’t Happy With Frostcrag Spire’s Fast-Travel Point

One player joked that the distance is “for leveling acrobatics, jumping up the mountain everytime,” while another user suggested that this was Bethesda’s way of nerfing the “OP” player house. It was pointed out by several users that Frostcrag Spire is one of the worstOblivion Remasteredhousesin this specific area, with Battlehorn Castle and Priory of the Nine placing players right at the front door. Others lamented the fact that all player-owned houses don’t immediately fast travel inside.

While it’s unclear whether Bethesda plans to change this particular issue with Frostcrag Spire, it’s not totally out of the question. Back when the game launched,Oblivion Remasteredwas taking player feedback for improvementsgoing forward, and this is absolutely the type of quality-of-life change that could arrive as a result of this. Hopefully, a change to Frostcrag Spire’s fast travel location will come in a futureOblivion Remasteredupdate, even if fans shouldn’t hold their breath.
