Summary
OneNo Man’s Skyplayer with some admirable design skills has managed to put together a detailed recreation of the Millennium Falcon fromStar Warsin the game. Although their ship doesn’t actually fly, it managed to impress thousands ofNo Man’s Skyplayers.
Base building has been available inNo Man’s Skysince the Foundation Update, which debuted in November 2016, approximately three and a half months following the game itself. Since then, plenty of players have invested countless hours into building elaborate bases, based on both original and established designs.
Continuing this years-long trend, Reddit user Simp-Ify recently built a base modeled after the Millennium Falcon, one of themost iconic ships from theStar Warsuniverse. The end result of their efforts is instantly recognizable as the spacecraft piloted by Han Solo and Chewbacca throughout the original trilogy, due in part to its distinctive saucer-shaped hull with asymmetrical design, including an off-center circular cockpit on the starboard side. The player also recreated the Millennium Falcon’s iconic forward mandibles, along with its lone sensor dish positioned opposite the cockpit.
Recreating the Millennium Falcon in No Man’s Sky Requires No Mods
Simp-Ify’s creation amassed over 3,500 upvotes and emerged on the front page of the r/NoMansSkyTheGame subreddit in late May 2025, eliciting praise from dozens of players. Reflecting on their achievement, the creator confirmed that the entire build was completed in the vanilla version of the game, with no mods whatsoever. They also shared several interior screenshots, showing that just as much attention was given to the inside of the base as to its exterior.
While Simp-Ify isn’t the first player torecreate the Millennium Falcon inNo Man’s Sky, their base stands out as one of the most authentic efforts to date. Much of its impact comes from the careful replication of the ship’s makeshift aesthetic, with exposed pipes and panels creating a heavily modified, cobbled-together look.
The final design is so authentic that it even tricked some players into thinking it was an actual ship rather than a base. And while that isn’t the case, the creator did find a way to incorporate their ship into the design, by positioning a landing pad smack in the middle of the saucer-shaped hull. Their choice of a ship also complements the overall aesthetic, as the player opted for the Boundary Herald, which shares some design similarities with the Millennium Falcon. The Boundary Herald wasintroduced toNo Man’s Skyas part of The Cursed update, version 5.20, which rolled out in October 2024.
