During an interview withGame File,Survival Kidsproducer Andy Dennison revealed that theNintendo Switch 2 launch titlewill support local co-op for up to three players through Nintendo’s new GameShare feature—meaning players won’t need to buy more than one copy to play together. But the good news doesn’t stop there: the feature will also allowSurvival Kidsto run on a Switch 1 alongside someone with a Switch 2 and a copy of the game.

Dennison went on to explain howSurvival Kidswill work withNintendo’s new GameShare feature. He said that the Switch 2 streams the game to friends’ devices, and they can jump into local co-op just by hitting a button on the menu—without needing everyone to own the game or the Switch 2.
