278 pieces.
If you’ve been collecting LEGO Super Mario sets since they’ve been hitting shelves, the LEGO Mario & Standard Kart kit seems like an obvious addition to your build library. It’s a smaller set that is designed to be approachable for children ages seven and up. But there’s enough going on here that Mom, Dad, and older kids can get enjoyment out of it too.
There are three interactive figures within the set: LEGO Mario, Bomb-omb, and a Thwomp figure. Mario’s kart has the ability to shoot the included green and red shells. There’s a banana to spin out opponents, which you’re able to pretend to get from the Item Box. A trio of connectable track barriers, a pair of traffic cones, and the start area can be placed to keep your track organized. And there’s even a winner’s circle with action tags to really bring out the product’s interactivity.

LEGO Mario Kart Wario & King Boo

Don’t let Bowser hog all the fun as the only villainousMario Kartcharacter. Be sure to pick up this Wario & King Boo Mario Kart LEGO set once it releases on August 1st. The design of both of these characters looks incredible.King Boo looks fantastic as a large singular white block. And the ghost somehow looks more adorable than fearsome while riding within the included Teddy Buggy kart.
Wario’s LEGO design translates quite well to brick form, too. His monstrous ears and bulbous nose are replicated well. His pink Badwagon kart looks just like the in-game version, including the detachable glider that can be moved to other karts. And there are shootable shells and cones, which add additional accessories to the package.
