Wednesday Season 2’s Grandmama Frump

Wednesday Season 2’s Grandmama Frump Is a “Wealthy Mogul”

According to Netflix’sTudum,Wednesdayseason 2 will introduce Grandmama Hester Frump, played by the absolutely fabulous Joanna Lumley. It wasn’t previously known whose mother Grandmama would be, as different Addams Family adaptations have seen the figure linked to Gomez’s mother or Morticia’s mother, but as reported by the site, this time, Grandmama Frump is linked toMorticia forWednesdayseason 2, as well as revealing some background on “one of the most successful outcast-owned businesses in the country.”

By uncovering more about Grandmama Hester Frump’s life, fans get a sneak peek into the Addams Family’s finances quite a bit more and how they actually acquired so much money. “Immaculately coiffed, emotionally cold, and armed with a razor-sharp tongue, Hester is calculated in everything she does, from running her empire to managing her family’s legacy,” so it seems as though Grandmama’s riches from owning Frump Mortuaries have kept the rest of the family swimming in cash and explains how the family can afford grand cars, massive mansions, tailor-made clothes and the finest luxuries in the world. It certainly seems like a fitting narrative for the show toshowcase Gomez and Morticia’s wealth to come from a mortuary empire.

Wednesday’s co-creators have said that Grandmama Hester Frump will bring a “different mother-daughter relationship” to season 2, and since the wealthy mogul is Wednesday’s favorite person, she will “use it against her mother. It’s a delicious family triangle to set up.”A recentWednesdayseason 2 fan theoryhas been going around lately that seemingly suggests that Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) has shapeshifted into Lurch (Joonas Suotamo), which would put a very strange and confusing stance on the series if true.

WednesdaySeason 2, part one, will be released on August 6, while the second section of episodes will debut on September 3 via Netflix.
